Freddies is Fred Meyer, we'll meet at the Lancaster store at 4pm. I just remembered a meeting I have at 6:30pm, so I'm thinking an hour out somewhere, or a loop.

Well, I rode...home... That's OK, the wife was off today so we'll go out and re-meet each other.:norton

For Freddie's meet up's we should select the parking area behind Wells Fargo, the parking lot is HUGE and singles could miss each other there.

We'll have to give Mak some well wishes, his pig pooped. I find those BMers look good on a flat bed tow truck...:rofl

    See you guys Sun morning.

Ya, It was excitin riden in a cab wit da bike tethered on a flatbed behind me.
I took the SS cutoff to beat the trucks on I-5. I've done it many times at close to 90mph, but in recent years I have seen the patrol sitting their, and now throttle my approach. I pushed past the car around 75mph, and she sped up, (car suck I call it). I hate to pass and slow down, but knew the potential. Every glance was trying to see under the limbs for a car body as I let the bike limber down to 65ish. Shit, the State Patrol had it's rear windshield lights on. How the hell are the doing a reach-arounds on curves.?
I let it slow to 55 as I passed the car. I started to throttle up as the hill slowed me down, but nothing. I shifted lower and locked the tire, dummy. Still no power, and I pulled over 500' in front of the State Patrol.
Crank, start, die x 10. Once I took my helmet off, he pulled up. His lights apparently were a safety procedure. Nice guy, tattooed, got out, said he rode. Ran my plate but not my ID. :bow I already had my cellphone calling for help.
ODOT showed up and expidited AAA. I had got a hold of El Pyro to cancel the ride, and he showed up as the bike was cabled on the flatbed.
I let the bike sit for two years, and it crapped out last year, but fixxed itself. I'll see if I get lucky again, but hopefully just a filter.
I've been thinkin of Fishy lately though :eek1 :deal

Tried to get to MT Hood today on Breintenbush road, here's what I ran into
[IMG] I call it changing of the guard. ( If you can't tell it's a couple of sledders getting ready to head out.)

    Here's another I call Oh Cr@p! [IMG]

And then I discovered a waterfall, yes I discovered it, the people who built the road never even knew it was there [IMG]

Mostly this is test post to see how posting pics here works, hope I'm not breaking any rules :deal

That's my favorite road. It was fresh repaved 98/99, and you could run it full tilt with no worry of needles, gravel, etc.
I have to show you the gravel out of Holly, we may be able to drop onto 126. Always stopped at Finn Rock for a brat and a beer along the McKenzie. But they were shut down last fall.

    fuel relay:1drink
I pushed mine for almost 4 miles with the same problem,, starts, runs a bit, dies. I betcha it's the relay, it's a $28 part, but might be a recall, mine, an '05 was. BMW roadside paid the tow, but I never got reimbursed for pushing the bike until I thought my old heart would explode! :eek1What was I to do, leave it in the woods?:lol3

Oh,, by the way,, you can make a short jumper and bypass that fuel relay, to check if that's the problem. There is a post here from the past on how to. Ptrmn

Well, I let my 05 sit for a few years, got on it last June. There was one time it died like that on my place. I figured it was gummy fuel, so poured in a bottle of ejector cleaner. Kept starting it a few days in a row, and it solved itself. Ran maybe 4k miles with no problem until yesterday. It is as you describe, runs, dies. I just put another bottle in, and I'm getting a liitle longer run cycle each time.
I called Salem for a fuel filter. They gave me a part #, but were out. I called Eugene, and they said there isn't a filter, and they never heard of my problem :dunno.
Do you have a link to the relay test?

I'd like to see the road to that waterfall, that looks really cool

I work in Salem and ride on nice days, but I work a goofy shift. 130PM to 2400. Let me know if you guys put something together on a Sunday morning, I could make it.

    Hey Dave, how goes?

I think everyone enjoyed the big breakfast at Bigfoot.
Even a full KTM had to toss off a little road fuel, a fitting metaphor :nod

Thanks to all who made the breakfast (and lunch), it was a fun time.

Hope your KTM is feeling better MortimerTrickle :1drink
