That is some beautiful countryside…would love to do some adventuring through there. Not sure how you get some of those on-the-go pics – fantastic stuff!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

I've gotta quit my job so I have time to ride. All I got today was a weak road ride on my townie.

Beautiful country up that way, as always!

Happen to know of any independent pharmacies that the owner's are wanting to sell? I may know a guy :evil :deal

Our last one just closed up. Couldn't compete with WalMart and Safeway I guess.

That or they bought him out :deal Edit: Looks like Safeway did buy him out from a local newspaper article I found. I've found that with the local pharmacies it is much more about customer service, and doing the little things that the big stores seem to let slide. It can still be hard though. I admit it is easier to drop off your Rx, go buy the groceries for the week, then pick up the Rx on the way out. Probably easier on the pharmacist as well, now he doesn't have a store to run.

Sad to hear of a small business closing either way.

Wow! Winter must come early there. No ride reports on this thread from July on. I was really enjoying the ride reports and was mapping out routes from the description of the passes and trails in the reports. Gonna try to get to Salida early next year. Need more RR's but I guess not till spring now. :norton

Had to work a little this morning (my normal day off), but I got a little detour in on the commute. :evil

It rained last night, and the trail had perfect hero dirt; traction was amazing! :tb

It's not all like this, but this section has some perfect flowing curves through the aspens; Fourth gear hauling ass type of stuff. :d

On the east side of 285, there's a gnarly section; A 3 mile climb up from the trailhead that has some sections with not much for a good line; just straight up a root infested, boulder-choked mess. With the wet roots, it was fun. :twitch Of course, no pics.

Well; at the very begining; steeper than it looks, blahblahblah...

Got to a snow bank, and didn't feel like shoveling, so I turned around...

Seems like every time I ride this trail, I get caught in a storm. Why did I think today would be any different? :lol3

Last time, I raced down the ridge with lightning popping all around. This time was better.

And back home to a cold Modelo. :D
