Nothing too exciting, but thought I would post a few pics. I put down about 190 miles today on my SV650 since it I have not used it much in the last few months, plus I have some new Alpinestar Scout boots to break in.

I started off from home in Rancho Bernardo and went Escondido to take the 78 up to Ramona. From Ramona it was out to the 79 and S2, and Montezuma Valley Road so I could drop into Borrego Springs for lunch. After lunch at Kendals Cafe I headed back up the hill to the 79 to pass thru Warner Springs to bug Gogogordy in Temecula while he was finishing up his day at work. Then it was back home via the 15 south to RB.

Love that area! Nice post, good lookin' bike(you need to get those Bmr bags to me, they don't belong on a Suz:evil).
My RT has got those roads memorized. Palomar mtn, Lake Henshaw etc...and of course all the casino's(when wife is aboard).
    Anymore pics? Thanks for posting.

It's Sunday and I just did a reverse run of yesterday, minus the stop in Borrego Springs.

Started out by going up to Temecula to meet up for coffee with Gogogordy, his wife, and Brooktown Geezer. After coffee I went over to Temecula Motorsports to have a new tire put on Karmatour's KLR 650 (storing his bike until he picks it up for Cabo!). It's took about an hour to have the tire changed and had the bike ready just a little after 12pm. Hmmmmm, weather was great, traffic was light, why not scrub that tire in with a nice casual ride back out to Warner Springs. So it was back to the 79 from Temecula, Warner Springs, Santa Ysabel, Ramona, and back home in RB.

Over looking Temecula at about 7:30am

Thanks! The SV has been a great bike!!! Not the most comfortable thing out there, but it has treated me very well this last year.

Hhahaaha, I picked up those bags from another ADV member who had them on a 650GS. They may stay on there until I figure out what bike they will be going on to next.... GS, KLR, DR, or ???

Here are the rest of the photos, not much though....

I was near the Warner Springs area last Friday (2/4). I got a little dirt and snow riding on Palomar Divide Road. I paid the price for trying to ride in the snow. No damage to the bike, but I got big scare when my front tire slipped out from under me.

Yup, here are a few more photos from my ride up Palomar Divide:

Looking out over Highway 79 and a lower portion of the Palomar Divide I just rode up.

Junction to the high point lookout. There was a lot more snow to come.

And here is the snow. Going uphill was easy until the bike slid out from under me.

Near the end of Palomar Divide there was this burned out cabin. I stopped and had lunch and enjoyed the view amongst the burned out plants.

I gotta get those stickers off my blue '09 klr!

Today off, but the honey-do list if big. Going to try to knock em out early, then possibly take the RT to do the loop-Warner Springs, Lake Henshaw, Palomar Mtn etc...

    Nice pics!!!!

If the weather this weekend looks as good, I will probably do the same trip out to Borrego Springs for lunch. This time on my Vespa GTS since it hasnt seen a long ride in a while, just my 5 mile round trip to work everyday.

I miss living out there. Kick myself every day that I got into riding after I moved to Wisconsin.

Can't count the number of times I drove the Z3 up to Julian and the surrounding areas. Would have been even better on a bike.

    Nice post!

I'm probably wearing this route out, but I did this route up again this weekend on my Vespa GTS with Gogogordy and his wife. We met up at Starbucks in Temecua and headed out to Borrego Springs for lunch.

Here is the link to the pics and I might post a few on here later today.
