I saw this thread right after it popped up, started the video, and made it through about 2 1/2 laps before a severe T-storm with hail knocked out the lights.

Parriott (along with Nate Kern) seems like the perfect pilot for the boxers. Awesome video where you can see the bike drifting when he was pushing hard, and hear the rear spin up exiting some corners.

Back to the show - I've got to see the rest of it while there is a break in the storms.

    Thanks for posting the link.

He's a demon on the brakes :clap

And even at a race track a four wheel vehicle turns left in front of him :D

Brian Pariott set a bunch of lap records at Road America the other weekend, Brian is prolly the fastest rider on a BMW Boxer riding today.

Here is a pic of the poster that San Jose made up for Brian to sign at the GP in the BMW pavilion this weekend.

Nor Cal, you will see it at the Daytona 8 hour, in fact I had the very bike that we are going to race as my ride around bike at both Road America and Iowa. I ran the F800 on the moto ST track side dyno in box stock form and ran 81.25 RWHP, perfect for the max allowable 90 RWHP in the GST class, won't take much to get there. The F800 is a blast to ride, much faster than my warmed over R1150R was.

Of topic but curious... why didn't they put the telever front end on the 800? The best thing about a bmw is the front suspension.

I wonder (and the thought crossed my mind). We'll have to get Brian's opinion.

Great link!! It's just as one of the boxer-racers here told me: break late, accelerate early, that's how you make up for the power deficit.

Fantastic video... I enjoyed that so much :D

Still couldn't quite get my GS past this GSXR1000, though...
