Does anyone have a good route, big bike friendly, to Santiago Peak? The more dirt the better

Coming from the San Diego side, I usually hit Teneja Truck Trail out of Fallbrook to where it intersects with 74 - Ortega Hwy. Directly across from that intersection is the dirt road leading eventually to Santiago Peak. I pop out on the N side toward Corona and do a little slab/side roads back.

That 990 will be fine on that road.

I'm coming from the North but I think I'm going to do it that way. Slab down then dirt up. Thinking about doing it Friday.

Usually, as in I think I did it about 3 years ago or longer. :norton

I did do TTT with my son about 18 months ago, though. :norton

TTT can be a little hard to find and has "No Trespassing" signs posted at the beginning of it. Illegal postings by the locals - ignore and ride.

I was planning on running up there this week sometime. Haven't gone up in about 7 years, and never on a bike. It's not fire season so I imagine the gate in Silverado Canyon is open.

    TTT?

    Thanks pcvance.

Just went for a quick ride through the canyons. Gate was closed due to "extreme weather conditions".

    The gates are never closed.

There's only one road going up from both sides, no thinking needs to be done

No, only the part a car can go through is closed, over, under and both sides are always open.
