what was the quality / age of the bike like ?
Sorry to hear that.
If anyone's interested, here's a quick recap on the first half of the rally.
Fantastic summary Chris, considering he crap (English for shit) web site coverage and that I am travelling also - keep up the good work
Bike was fairly new and the team look after them well. They are all over the bike at service and in the evenings. I am putting it down to bad luck rather than badly looked after!
I've just been down to see them and its not looking good though! The bike is having a major transplant as I'm writing this. Seems electrical problems so there changing stuff!
Here is a summery of tomorrow's course notes.
Soo cool to have Ben there and posting properly 10mins before his start time! Thanks for that man! I hope they get the bike sorted for you.
Nice recap and thanks for the sticky of this Doyle. About time this rally gets a sticky. I thought for a few mins the thread dropped off the face of the planet...
Are there any photogs posting from there regularly? Any links?
AP PhotoSport via Facebook is there and posting a lot of photos.

Day 2 video
Day 3 video
if you think you've ssen a Big Orange on Day 3 video, you are not a fool, as usual is Francesco Catanese with a big bike, this time a very nice Ktm 950 (not SE)
hey there doyle
are there any photos yet of the new HRC450X Rallye at this rally?
Thanks man ill check them out.
Looks like a CRF still?
Helder said the new Rally bike soon.
that looks as "homemade " ever , looks like a friday afternoon fuel tank !!.
:eek1 Shadetree HRC. I wonder if Honda is really serious about this Rallye thing or if this is still the sort of individual effort of Helder (and now of the ex-speedbrains)??
looks like an aluminium refinery
is that a 450 or someone mentioned 350?
Awesome pic of the ninefiddy!
Fixed the video embeds for you.
Thats a real bummer Ben. Is there a berg in the background you can snavel?
Thanks for the updates mate.
At the start of Special stage 2. Got 15 minutes to check in.
This mornings stage was great. 121kms. Some really tight muddy sections with lots tough rocky hill climbs. They were really slippery and challenging to get up.
Best be going check in time
get the Beta going again ok then ?
HERE it is. Onboard camera from the video section of worldrallyraid.com site.
