Hello, everybody with a measuring tape!:lol3

I have a BMW Comfort seat on my 2013 GS800 and it's not as comfortable they told me it would be!!!

I love the height of the BMW low seat that I have, but it's only good for about 2 1/2 hours of riding.........

The BMW Comfort seat is the absolute maximum height that I can have on my bike. I already have problems touching with 1 foot, so anything higher wouldn't work for me.

I would like to try this: http://www.sargentcycle.com/Seats-Accessories/World-Sport-Performance-Seat-BMW-F650GS-F800GS/

It says it is the same height as stock, yet I can't find weather the stock seat height is the same as the Comfort Seat.

Any help from a Sargent seat owner would be appreciated!!

    My ass thanks you.:D

    Sargent Web site says 34.6".

My tape measure says 34.5", but I've been sitting on it for about 50,000 km and 4 years, and I've replaced the OEM shock with an Elka. I've also adjusted the preload to suit my 200-ish lbs (with gear).

BMW Canada Web site says the comfort seat is 15 mm higher than the regular seat.

You should be able to touch with 3 toes on one side :lol3

I'm inseam challenged. I have a Sargent seat and it seems no harder to put toes on the ground than the stock seat. I'm sure that both are lower than the BMW Comfort seat.

The stock seat would make my sitzbones sore after only 45 minutes, and if I rode for a couple of hours or more, I'd still feel the soreness a couple of days later. The seat on my KTM woods bike works better than the stock BMW F800GS.

With the Sargent, I might get a bit sore in other spots, but it goes completely away after a few minute stop.

I'm pretty happy with the Sargent. Not perfect, but very acceptable.

Well, I've put in my order!

There is a 4 week delivery time on this seat. I hope that means its a popular seat because everyone wants one!

Keep your eyes on the flea market in a month.....there may be a BMW low seat AND a comfort seat for sale. Either that or a Sargent.....:lol3

The BMW " Comfort Saddle" as fitted to the 2013 F800GS is likely the best OEM touring saddle in existence.
If you cant ride a 2000 mile weekend on that seat..... You might take up Pilates, or similar pursuit.
HARDEN yourself up a bit, it aint the seat.
