    If you can see the dam, then you can see that thing, its right next to the dam. The old bridge is still there, but it is blocked off so you (can't) get over it.

    What do you mean it was too cold, it was about 43 degrees out today, thats a whole lot warmer than the 14 I rode in a few weeks ago, but honestly, I didn't notice any difference in my core temp :lobby

    But, but, but...

    How about a naked bike and totally inadequate gear. No heated anything. And a headwind in both directions!

    On the other hand, that big ST looks pretty comfy to me. Has a big alternator, too, I bet. :wink:

    Yea, I'm a wimp, I have to have my HEATed gear, and I love the heated seat I added to the bike! I noticed a big difference on the KLR for sucking in the wind onto my chest and legs, you gotta get some bags out front of your legs.

    Wait no more, here is the first photo:

    And a second photo;

    And the clue: Don't be fooled by the sign, this is the oldest Church in Spartanburg County, founded in 1786. The people came first, then the steple, the building (the second) was built later.

    Kenny,
    Hopefully somebody will correct me if I'm wrong, but my bet is that it's located in that little "pull out" loop next to the bridge.

    I just got done Googlin' the new TAG. Learning a bit of history is fun for nerds like me. :D

    It's less than 70 miles from me..... I'm pretty sure it will be gone before I could get there tomorrow afternoon.

    PU Skunk, have you got a wedding tomorrow?

    Yeah, that's kinda what I was thinking. If you zoom in on GE you can see the big rocks between the road and the creek.

    I'll add this little bit of info:

    Glendale Shoals on Lawson's Fork Creek is just a few minutes from bustling downtown Spartanburg, but it feels worlds away from the city. Glendale is a sleepy mill community with a long history in upstate South Carolina. Some of the upstate's first industrial development occurred along and were powered by the shoals of Lawson's Fork (including a foundry during the American Revolution).

    Not only do I have a wedding, I have the wedding festival, and a Wintereenmas party afterwards! Tomorrow is my most full day of the year so far. No TAG chasing for me until Monday, I believe. I was out at Ground Zero watching people swing from hooks in their skin tonight, but the person I was with, her wife thinks motorcycles are too dangerous. So no grabbing this tag while I was already in Spartanburg.

    Well what do you know. I was on my way to work this morning, taking my usual route and what should I see but this :

    Built between 1825 and 1830, this circuit church is one of the oldest in the area. It is rich in ecclesiastical architecture, which is commom to rural churches. In 1915, the last 14 members transferred membership to the present day Inman Methodist Church.
