    I think, up toward Dunlap and Sparta, there is Gold Mountain ORV Park. Closer to Sequatchie and Jasper is the Trials Training Center. None others that I know of. I think both places are more obstacle courses than actual trails.

    Its the the first exit headed from Soddy to Dunlap on hwy 111. Someone told me about it a few years ago - feel like it starts with an H.

    p.s. To the guy with the KTM superenduro 690 - that is a sweet bike - rode with a fellow a few weeks ago - he said it comes stock with 66 hp - and weighs like 250lbs!! Do you like yours?

    Sounds like it might be part of what I used to ride years ago. We called it Flat Top Mountain back then and it was just a bunch of strip mines linked by trails. The strip mines made for some awesome hill climbs.

    This was waaaay before Hwy. 111 even existed. Everything has changed up there now and I don't recognize anything. We used to be able to ride from there to Dayton across the mountain tops, fill up in Dayton, and ride back. I bet there is no way to do that now. What a shame.

    I would like to know if there is an OHV area up there. If so, I'd love to go and see if I recognize any of it.

    My son said the place they went was called Lewis Chapel. He is going to try and organize a trip back this Saturday. The route they took was up Mountain road off Dayton Pike in Soddy.

    So I should not be surprised when you guys come flying through my yard? I live on Mowbray Pike. I am beginning to get the picture... you guys find trails I can't go on just so I will stay home and make everyone lunch and have it ready when you come through... lol.

    I recall Lewis Chapel being the road you take off Hwy 111 to get to this place.

    I also may have a pdf on my home computer with a map of the actual area - I am in Idaho this week but will check when I return on Friday.

    If a ride forms on Saturday or Sunday count me in!

    Actually I don't limit the things I push the limits on... lol. I am up for riding borh days this weekend... the more tricky and scenic and outrageous the better.

    btw... I added a akropovic slip on... the gs sounds much more appropriate now!

    So about this beer tomorrow...

    How does this sound;

    Meet at the Prentice Cooper entrance at Noon Saturday ride around there some, then head towards Big Fork(?) over in Hawk's neck of the woods. I've never been there and the dr has a brand spankin new Michelin to break in.

    Any thoughts?

    Also, I get off work around 6:30, I can meet up around 7:30pm have a beer/coffee if anyone wants to meet up, Tim, Doulos, Todd?
