Check for play in the rear suspension linkage. The dog bone is usually smashed flat on one end and needs to be replaced along with all the bearings and seals. It's not a deal killer, just needs to be done. If it doesnt have race gas in it it will sound like the motor is done in. Then just all the regular stuff of any motorcycle.
Oh, it will run. But it will knock like hell. I run VP red in mine but switching to VP 110 cause the place I buy gas is not ordering any more Red. Red=105 MON Vp110=107 MON
Yep. Sounds like a trials bike!!
What do you expect for $1400.00? A decent bike like that will bring $2000. in the N.W.
No frame cracks on mine!
You get what you pay for. It's no problem spending a few extra buck's wouldn't fix! Those are great bikes.
Blow the cobwebs out of your wallet and spring for a nice example.
A great bike, you'll love it.
I might be. Where exactly is it?
North Idaho, craigs list, I believe.
If you send me your location and price range I might be able to help you.
If you're anywhere near Seattle c'mon by and have a look at my 315. I don't really want to sell but I got hurt pretty bad earlier this year (5hrs on the operating table), got hurt again recently (got another date on the operating table coming up) and doubt I'll be spending much time on the trials bike in the next year. :huh
