Have an ETA on the white C3W? Thanks.
Thanks for letting us know. To be honest, I'd be willing to go that much for a carbon version w/ full US warranty. Keep us informed if you hear anything different. For now, I'll just wear out my symax 2 and hornet ds with hopes of a carbon version hitting the shores in the future.
Silver XL, should be here in the morning. Thanks Revzilla!
I would spend the money for a carbon version also.
Hey Be Rad,
At the moment I do not have a good estimate. Stock and deliveries have been really spotty this season - and we are keeping a ton on hand where we can get stock.
The best thing I could recommend would be a shoot over to the Schuberth C3W page and choose your size color. Enter your email in the yellow box - you will know the second they become shippable. We do this with all of our products.
So just an FYI I got in touch with Mike at Schuberth NA about the Carbon C3 version. Basically what he said was Schuberth is concentrating on fulfilling the Carbon demands over in Europe but once that is done he believes they will begin safety testing for the US market. He thinks it will be at minimum a year off but probably longer. So I'm expecting 2012 will be the year to watch for it here in the US. You guys over in Europe can suck it!
So if your in an immediate need of a new lid you might as well just call up Booch and get one on the way. The Carbon won't be here for a bit.
Are there any problems mounting a Sena on the C3, including the speakers and boom mic? I'm definitely interested in the helmut but not sure I want to also invest in another intercom system.
If you do I think you have to use the tape on method. I couldn't figure out how to get the clamp to work so I sprung for the SRC. It was added $pain$ but in the end worth it. The microphone is a PITA when closing the lid but I'm getting use to it. Too bad the Sena option isn't easy as I contend it is a much better system (sound and loudness). But then that is just MHO. Now if I could get the front from giving me a forehead indentation that lasts for a day after use...
You will need to use the adhesive mount plate. Additionally, you'll need either the A0302 (speakers) or A0304 (for earbuds). These have a boom mic that isn't attached to the clamp, so you can position the boom in just the right spot. Otherwise the mic will likely not reach your mouth.
We have a special 3M adhesion promoter pad that we suggest when using the adhesive mounting plate. This will help it adhere much better that without it.
I had the same pain in the forehead with my C3. Used my thumb to slightly crush the foam behind the liner in the painful area and now it's comfortable all day.
+1 on the Sena being far superior. It's frustrating to spend twice as much for a product (SRC) that's clearly inferior. In addition to poor sound quality, volume and range, the control buttons are nearly impossible to locate with gloves on and the voice activation for the intercom only works about half the time, and then only when you really BARK at it. It's nearly impossible for my wife to activate hers - she's just not loud enough to get it's attention. All that said, the 'in collar' implementation is very nicely done.
I have been wearing my Schuberth C3 since late October 2010 and wanted to offer my 6+ Month review of the lid's performance at a Fit, Balance, Quiet etc level.

Hope my commentary helps some folks looking for some more insight. My experience with the C3 (surprise) has been a good one. The aerodynamics continue to blow me away. I constantly am surprised at the lack of sensation of "pushing air" at highway+ speeds.
Two Wheels Down,
Thanks guys for the feedback on mounting the Sena. I ordered my C3 from Revzilla and if it fits like I hope it will I'll get with you Adam to order the boom mike. Thanks also for the call and all of the good suggestions.
C3's one for me, one for my wife. Firts flip face and we love'em.
The very high quaility fit and finish is well worth the $$$.
I've had mine for almost a week now, riding every day. I'm very happy. I never realized how much I was fighting my old helmet until I got this one on and rode with it. On the road it feels so light. That's because of the aero and my neck not having to work as hard. Everything about it is quality. Also no fitment problems. It fits true to size. Well worth the $$$$
Sophie, expressing her preference in helmets:
The rest of the line is coming, Schuberth is taking baby steps into the states and I have no doubt that a good chunk of the meaningful pieces will make it over in the next 6 to 18 months.
Agree with you - dying to ride an SR1. They look sick.
Little. Yellow. Different.
Forget Nuprin. It's the HV C3.
Booch, Do you know when the Hi-vis C3 in a Large will become available?
Is it possible to pair the Cardo Q2 with the Schuberth SRC?
mille grazie davvero..
Tony, I measured my head and it comes out to be 22 3/8. Would I wear a med or large? I have a Shoei RF 1100 solid white in a large and it feels great. If you guys weren't in the city I would ride down and try them on. Another question, I have a garmin 2820 with XM radio. Will the SRC work with it or should I mount helmet speakers in the helmet? That is what I did with the Shoei RF 1100 helmet.
