Here's my story, and sticking to it I will.

I joined this website way back in aught seven, when men were men and sheep were afraid. I posted away merrily.

Fast forward to early 2013. I got butt-hurt by one of the mods. I had done something sorta dumb, but it would have been pretty easy for the clown to help me out. He spent more time chewing my arse than it would have taken to approve my request.

So. I'm done. I nuked what I could. Turn the lights off when you leave.

I read the Cannonball reports on Modern Vespa and they are so full of sturm und drang with breakdowns and late night struggles in oily parking lots, it sounds awful. I enjoyed your drama free ride much more. Congratulations.

Thanks for the report... a lot of fun to read. I admire the amount of energy you all put into your fun!

Living in the land of the scooter (Vietnam) I own one, that never makes it out of the garage (125cc Yamaha Nouvo). You almost make me want to ride it... ok, not really... it is an annoying little thing.

I enjoyed your write up. I've been following along with the reports of the last two cannonballs and met up with the cannonballers in Abilene. Your observations go alng with something I've long thought - mods may bring higher preformance but are much less likely to finish. If I ever do a cannonball, and I'm serously considering it my scooter will be pretty close to bone stock, just better tires and I'll have to decide about what exhaust since on the Vespas that was the biggest point of failure. Of course I could do it on one of my 500cc scoots which have made 3,00+ mile journeys will little or no issues (one shredded tire) but I'm thinking my GTS would be more in the spirit of the cannonball.

Loved your report --- Thank you so much for sharing - I read every word and you had me cracking up many times - catching up with the other riders on MV and it seems like some had the same issues with re-adjusting to normal rides

I was one of the nutballs SCBR Groupies) that rode quite a bit just to see you guys - 500 miles rountrip

It was neat watching you guys leave that roach motel Sun-N-Pines in Lufkin

I spent the night Lufkin and rode / followed y'all to Moody, Texas -- I am hoping to ride the 2014 SCBR if the rules don't limit the number of riders or put a limit on the Maxis

Thank you so much again for sharing your journal and the pictures

No prob. I just set up a Smugmug account, you have to pay for it but they don't do that to you. $40 a year is not bad and the camera app for the iPhone works great if you have one. Use this code (Y6lAMzFEzdQCD) and you can save $5 off the first year.

Looking forward to seeing the pics.
