Hey, welcome to ADV! I can't see your pic, but you'll get that sorted out later.

Congratulations on the new scoot, these smaller bikes are alot of joy.

...what caught my attention to your post was Dunkirk. My dad was from Falconer. So growing up I heard all the stories of Jamestown, Dunkirk, Lake Chautauqua, etc. I still have never seen the area, but I have a good picture in my mind from my dad's stories. He passed a few years back, but thanks for bringing me back to some great memories.

Thank you! It is amazing how many people from around the country have their roots in Chautauqua County and the rest of Western NY. It is definitely a pretty area, but the reason so many people left in years gone by is the same reason people continue to move out, lack of jobs and high taxes. I am one of the lucky ones, but I realize, when my time comes to an end at this job, I will be back on my way out as well. Definitely a great place to visit and spend some time with nature though!

I haven't been scooting much these days - too damn busy. I really do miss it ... so I took the Ruckus down to see some boats this afternoon.

I envy people who get to ride year round.

    A few pics.

These were taken at the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, IA. I thought some of you might enjoy.

    You're welcome :thumb

The museum in Anamosa is well worth the visit. Very nicely done. Motorcycle only parking and a large "gear room" where you can leave you coats and stuff while you visit. Very nice folks there. There are a few more pics in my Day Trippen' thread, although the rest of the museum pics are of motorcycles.
