    Lambretta LD, I bought one in the early 60s when I was 15, I think it cost me 5 pounds. It never ran, it never left the shed, I would go in there and sit on the thing, it was great! :D

    Honda Ruckus! :clap

    This thing is a hoot around the neighborhood, and I love the utilitarian look. We live out in the 'burbs, though, so it's hard to take it anywhere without getting run over by inattentive speeding soccer moms in H2s. It needs some hop-up to be a good general town run-about, but that is doable. :ricky

    2002 Aprilia SR-50 DiTech bought used with about 1600 miles...
    * Electric starter.
    * Inspected, registered, fully street legal.
    * 1200 miles.
    * DiTech Fuel Injection give approx 80mpg.
    * Automatic oil injection - no premixing.
    * Automatic transmission.
    * Disk brakes front and rear.

    From the factory this scooter will do about 45mph on a good day. It needed more so on the way home from picking it up from the seller I dropped it off at Apollo Motorsports (Houston) and had them install the following stuff. Cost about a grand, installed. Probably paid a bit too much, but hey, it was turn-key and it's done, not sitting on the workbench :1drink

    * Malossi 70cc kit with upgraded fuel injection - gives greater horsepower and top speed.
    * LeoVince ZX exhaust, with carbon fiber silencer - allows the bigger engine to breathe and generates greater torque and horsepower.
    * Malossi final drive with straight-cut gears and taller gear ratio - allows greater top speed when used with 70cc kit.
    * Malossi variator weights - allows for quicker starts with less bogging.
    * Halogen headlight - for better visibility.

    All told, the mods give faster accelleration and a top speed between 50 and 65 mph, depending upon whether you have a headwind or tailwind, but I regularly get about 55 to 58 mph out of it.

    Commuter mode...

    Rear wheel and disk brake. Interestingly, the 125 non-us version has drum rear brake, unless it's been changed in the last year or so...

    Trying to limit my stalking, but isn't that Ms. Linzi sans HAT?

    Tsk, Tsk, I would at least expect a life saving doo rag if not a protective halter top.

    Saw these vintage scooters at a swap meet in San Marino, IT in '02 when we were there for the Motogiro.

    Not sure what model this is, if anybody has a full pic of it I'd like to see it.
