Hey guys I was wondering if someone may know about this. I have a LWB R75/5 with a rusted out seat pan. I found a nice replacement from a SWB bike via internet so I can't measure it, any idea if they are the same or will mine be longer?

Sorry, will not fit... the Long wheel base is longer, not by much, but enough were it does not work.... It will not line up.

Don't ask me by how much (maybe 2 inches or more... somebody else will know exactly), but I redoing one of my bikes and held both short and long wheel base rear subframes to the bike.... there is a maked difference.

Making it fit can be done by converting the LWB bike into a SWB bike. But then for that money you could buy several correct seats.

You have to change the rear sub frame as well if you are converting from a SWB to LWB or LWB to SWB. The fenders are the same its just that everything else has to match up to the 2" difference in length of the swing arm.

The early SWB seat is a much smaller rounded seat with just the 2 handles bolted to the rear sides of the seat. It didn't have the big wrap around handles that later /5's had. Also tank fitting is an issue when going from a Toaster Tank model to the traditional /5 tank.
