    Anybody going?

Unless the weather goes to complete crap (e.g. either massive downpours or freezing), I'm planning to ride up there from Salem on Saturday. I may grab a room and come back on Sunday, or I may just ride back the same day. Dunno yet.

Yep, missed it last year, but me and my gal are attending this year.

Its a great way to break up the cabin fever until the snow gets deep enough in the hills to go snowmobiling! :clap

I'm dying to get out on the snow too, but I don't have a sled, and no money to buy one at this time. :)

Can you recommend a low-priced yet decent place to stay? I've read online reviews of many places anywhere near downtown and they all sound awful. Tempted to just hit a Motel 6 someplace.

Thinking about just getting up early, driving over, dinner after, and drive back.

Just got a discount card in the mail, think it is from Progressive....Go to motorcycleshows.com and enter code IMSCP . Not sure if there are anybetter out there. 1 day cost is $13 plus $1 fee=$14..code will give you $2 off of that so 1 day admission will cost $12. Not sure what the door price is but if it is $13 not sure if going online is worth it.

update...just found a site that says gate price is $15.

There is a wide range of places to stay in Kent, Renton and Tukwila, and there is going to be world championship ice racing friday the 14th at the Showware center in Kent starting at 7:00 pm.

No luck on my searches. I've run across the same thing and I'm a cheap Bast## when it comes to a place to crash for the night. Somehow I don't think setting up my tent is an option so we're planning on staying further south to hopefully get a better rate and also not pay the $13 to 30.00 a night for parking at a Hotel/Motel that's downtown.

Or, if you want, Mike, I have a guest bedroom that you can use.

If some other inmate wants to do this, let me know. I'm about 20 minutes from the show location.

Thanks, but my work Christmas party is that night.... now I'm not sure I'm going, because the company Christmas party is always a blast.

The show is actually 3 days, Fri, Sat, and Sun. Fri 3-8, Sat 9:30am-8pm, and Sun 10-5. It's at the convention center virtually right on I-5. FYI

I can barely work up the interest to visit the show from my house in Monroe - about an hour away. The Seattle show has been getting progressively lamer and lamer. Last year BMW wasn't even represented, and KTM had nothing to speak of there. The local Beemer dealership had a few bikes, and Touratech had a fairly nice display, but other than that, just run of the mill KLRs, VStroms, etc. I'm not even sure that Ural or Enfield made it.

Personally, from Salem, I wouldn't waste the gas, time, or risk of hypothermia.

The Euro bike show in January or February, up in Everett, was tons better, cost less, and far better represented with ADV bikes - Guzzi, Triumph, BMW, Husky, etc. were all there in force on a first-year show. I'm hoping it will be even better this year.

I kinda agree with DeFens,,, I built it up over a couple months prior to last years show... Got discount tickets, took my wife and 14 yr old stepson...

I hate to admit, I was pretty disappointed,,, I will try the show in Everett he spoke of.... thanks for the heads up..
