That's great software you have, I cant believe how real you made our last ride appear.
Bump, because page two is unacceptable.
You FF's riding' the Piutes this week post up some pics for us non riding FF's please?
I'll be riding the desert around Laughlin next weekend. Barstow to Vegas in the truck style.
A little more SNOW<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/hgMex1IKwfs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
COOL vid of rare conditions where you have just the right amount of snow....
Hmmm, revenge of the squid filter trail and drinking beers at Grumpys or go drink Happy's beer closer to home?
We ran into some guys who were lost in the L-town hills yesterday, actually in an area we call the Bermuda Triangle...they were trying to get to Barstow but those 30' waterfalls were making progress slow.....
really nothing to see, it did not look like they got too much rain or snow, we only saw 1 small patch of snow @ 7100'!
although the ground was nice and moist, temps in the 40-50's w/clouds blowing over-saw NO ONE all day and only 2 sets of tracks!
all the shortcuts up the mountian have been fenced in or blocked off by logs
we came across this strange structure!
it looks like they burned tires in it long ago, i found tires all around with 1968 dates on they-anyone have any more info!
doing trail maintence-lotsa of freshly fallen trees!
sometimes u just gotta go!!!
if u look closley there is a upside OLD car/truck to shore up the road!
jmt, come up and ride local!
i have 3 different beers on tap in the garage!
IE: light ale / hbc342 IPA / honey porter & english IPA, i know 4 beers but only 3 taps!
Great ride, great conditions to. ST all day. At 8100 ft some clouds came in, temps dropped to low 40's and it gets darker quick. We followed an awesome single track the wrong way for quite some time. It was getting later in the day and I gotta admit, I started worrying. I was thinking about the Verplank adventure. Happy Trails to the rescue with his new 376c. Guided us off the mountain. Whew. Just goes to show that the Utes can grab ya and hold on till it's dark and cold.
Glad you FF's made it out of there before the dark and cold.....NO more Verplank adventures in winter the ending might not be a good one.
Good job HT
glad to hear Scott got your 276C sorted.
and you made it out alive.
I figured it out, its a target.
kap is always lost:eek1, i dont know how he finds his way home sometimes :huh
it was 3 oclock when we were heading back! so we still had a few hoursof light
we will go see where that trail goes next time
Sounds like you need a guide.....
Not quite a guide up there, but. See y'all in a week or so.
Never let the truth get in the way of a good story.
What is the plan?
Hap and Kap want to do trail work for MTBers? Isn't that the whiskey creek day?
I'm thinking Sat on the Green side and Sun on the P side? Whatcha think?
Kabins are cheaper than that honeymoon suite, camping even more cheaper.
All you F'n F's have a nice holiday tomorrow. I'm going out to Death Valley with the street bike and try to pick up a speeding ticket. I might get one, too.
I can't get there until Saturday night. I'm riding Sunday and Monday. I think we should all just do motel/cabin in town to be closer to bars and restaurants for post-drinking stumbling made easier.
Razr and I will be rolling in around 8-8:30 Saturday night.
I'm sitting here in Laughlin Lookin out at the Colorado river and the great Mojave, family day today and tomorrow my brother Jack and I are heading out into the dez on the bikes....
Hope you all have a great day!
What dates?Thought you were going this w/e?
Edit:got it and out....my w/e is out of sync
