What week end are you speaking of here. Date?
Thanksgiving came and went, riding season is here! Oh wait, it's always the season......
"A SECOND STORM IS EXPECTED TO REACH CALIFORNIA BEGINNING THURSDAY NIGHT. THIS STORM IS FORECAST TO LINGER OVER THE STATE THROUGH THE WEEKEND... BRINGING PERIODS OF RAIN AND MOUNTAIN SNOW TO THE CENTRAL CALIFORNIA INTERIOR. SNOW LEVELS WILL START OUT AROUND 7000 FEET NEAR YOSEMITE... BUT FALL TO AROUND 6000 FEET BY SUNDAY EVENING. FURTHER SOUTH... SNOW LEVELS WILL BE AROUND 7000 TO 7500 FEET IN SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK... AND AROUND 8000 FEET IN THE KERN COUNTY MOUNTAINS"
That will really suck for us this weekend.
I hate riding after a storm. My bike gets muddy and there's no dust so I can't follow anyone.
I'll be there for saturdays ride Wifes bday sunday, its in my best interest i wake up next to her Sea ya boys in the morning.
That's good, because you might be riding through the storm this weekend.
Perry, Are you making a showing this weekend?
I would if I could, but.... No. Snow line is forecast to be 7500-8000', the lower stuff should be good.
You FF's have fun.
LOOKS like the weather gods knew we were coming up to this weekend and is watering our trails
guess i need to pack up more rain gear!
glad we got a nice warm room to go to afterwards!
Doing the happy dance
Looks like a little snow falling north of Kernville at the moment.
Perry I thought it was over for the season. Is this pretty typical ? Is Dec riding normal at the lower elevations up there ?
It's not over till it's over....DEEP snow and locked gates close the higher elevation stuff. There's always some lower elevation riding in the foothills.
this was taken 1-1-2012 note the plow marker, this is above 7000'
3000' elevation stuff
I just called the Ranger station and they said it is closed for the season. :huh
What's closed? The station or.....................
They can't close everything.
We'll see on Saturday I guess.
They close these trails for a reason.
It DAMAGES the trails!!
Isn't it funny how some guys preach to others about protecting the trails...
They go on telling others how to ride.
"Dont use you brakes going down hill" Really!! are you serious?? :huh
"We only run trials tires to protect the trails"
on and on.... with their riding rules!!
And then they ride closed and illegal trails in the rainy season leaving behind trail ruts and other damages.
we are all HYPOCRITES in one way or another.
I don't recall ever saying any of that...:huh
Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed , Jerry?
nobody listens to me...
