No riding for the Kapman this week end, mother jumpin back is still jacked up from last ride with HT and Jungle. Bad part is it was the worst ride of the year anyway and not worth getting hurt.

    Hey guys,
I know no one likes to give away their favorite riding spots, but...
I live in SF and it's too damn hot up in this area right now, I'm thinking of traveling for the weekend and have always wanted to ride in Sequoia- can you give me some ideas on a great camping/riding spot down there? Seems like there are a ton of options...

Actually, Jungle man is a cartel grower...Why do you think he rides so many miles in the backcountry? He's checking his crops.

More options that we have time to type. Get the online Sequoia NF maps and start looking. What kind of riding, what bike, hot summer lakes, or cool mountain meadows? Gnarly technical rocky stuff? Truck or adv-bike camping? The Kern Plateau (Kennedy Meadows, etc...) is popular this time of year.

You BIG TEASE!!! :thumb Did you invite them over for the k'ville bikini-bridge (NSFW) competition? :evil

Anyone know of interesting single track in and around the Kern River Valley, (not Kennedy Meadows), without the huge pucker factor like the Cannel or Rincon Trails?
Now is the time to ride the area. With the level of both Lake Isabella & the Kern lower than normal, water people are going elsewhere, see picture above, leaving more room for us in the much loved campgrounds.

Well it was 109F in Kernville today and 102F in Johnson Valley. I'd wanna be up on top of the mountain.

If you think Cannel has a "pucker factor" you shouldn't ride this area. Cannel is the easiest trail out there.
