hmm I wonder if the picture (media attached) thing has something to do with that. I don't know if they can be saved with a track or not. sorry, in really behind

Thats ok ohgood. No big deal. I was just wondering why it happened that way. None of my other tracks do this. It was just a test track anyway. :-)

The first one that hides along with the track is a picture point and it is called point 2 cape horn. The second one that hides with the track is just a point called point 3 Carson. The two that remain on the map are called 2017-08-05 North Bonneville and is just a point. The one is a picture point and is called 2017-08-05 McCellan medows. Neither of the ones that remain on the map have a "point" number assigned to them. So somehow there is a difference but I do not know what I did to cause this.

Try these and let me know if your blue dots are still there.

Ok, the first one you sent is broken up into 3 sections and there is no picture points. Also the Point 1 start point is there and it is blue. My points are not there.
The second one you sent has no points at all except for a gas stop at farger lake which I did not put there. There is a point at the start and the end of the track that are red dots and they both have the same name. "start" What were you trying to accomplish ?

Not sure what makes them stay on the map. That is what I was wondering. The blue dots remain on the map and the red dots hide with the track.

Ok. I just imported my track that I sent here. The one you imported . It only has two of the four points. The bluedot ones do not show up. They must somehow not be attached to the track and this is what I was wondering how that happened. ? If I show my original track that I created then all the points show up.

ohgood, I don't think so. One has a pic attached and the other does not. they both show up as blue dots when zoomed out far enough and the others show up as red dots so locus is telling us that something is different between those points but i do not know what.

Okay here is another track. This one has a few more way points. They are all red dots when zoomed out far enough. This track has no blue dots for some reason. When this track is hidden all of the way points are hidden along with the track.

LOL, :-) ohgood. The first track I sent had for points along the track. Not counting the start and end. Two were red and two were blue. Did all four of those show up? because when I imported that track from this site the only ones to show up were the two red ones. and they hide along with the track. so somehow the blue ones did not transfer with the track when I uploaded it to this site. and they are not attached to the track. I was wondering what I did so I do not do it again. hehe :dunno

How many of you got to see the eclipse? I live right in it's path but just a tad north of totality so I got to see 99% of it. But yet there was enough light from the sun so I never got to see all the really cool stuff and it never got really dark, only like twilight.

after it got this far we didn't take many pictures other then family photos during the total.

    what we saw:

    partials
    full
    corona
    SHADOW BANDS!
    DIAMOND RING!
    BAILEYS BEADS !!!!

and the most impressive, the 360 degree sunset. it was a beautiful experience to share with my wife, kids, and friends.

crowds and traffic were minimal at the location we chose, very glad we traveled to 100%

I'm glad you got to see all that ohgood. I did get a lot of pics of partials from the beginning to the end but they don't turn out so good with a snap shooter or a cell phone. And I saw those shadow bands racing across the ground. All the birds stopped flying around and perched in the bushes until it was over. The spiders around the house and on the path to the garage took down there webs just like they said. pretty strange. There is always webs in the trees and bushes along the path to the garage but that morning there was none. I rode my dirt bike up to the top of shirley Gordon road where I live to get a good view and there was no one up there. The traffic here in oregon and Washington to get any where near totality was just insane. The I-5 freeway is still blocked up with people trying to get home. The little town of Madras Oregon of 6000 people had over 100,000 people converge on it. Geeeez ! And that was only one location.

Just wanted to chime in on my experiences thus far. I am going on a week long offroad trip out to the Black Hills Sunday, so I've been familiarizing myself with following tracks here around home. Previously, I've been using a Zumo 665, and while it's OK, falls short on track navigation and zoom levels. The 0.2 mile and above where you lose visuals of secondary roads was a show stopper for me with the Garmin.

With my Kyocera Hydro Air I picked up on eBay, I can visually follow a track on secondary/tertiary roads with several miles of display on the screen. Cannot beat that! I can see where Garmin has use cases for on road simplicity, but for anything more than 50/50 riding, the OSMand/Locus combo wins hands down. If there's any argument to that, folks aren't giving it a chance or are doing something wrong, IMO!

    ohgood, thanks for the help

Waypoint coordinates. When I view them on the basic detail page it shows
N 38° 17.502 but when I click it is shown in the format needed 38.2980

How can I change it so I can see the format needed from the basic screen?
