If its anything like last year, it wasn't very long...less than 20. This year...who knows? My range isn't much more than 30 on the bike I'll be taking. But 30 miles in TSF is still a good day for winter.

Thanks to SFRC, another great event! Well done, not sure what more you could have done today to make it any better. Great people, great weather, great course. The dirt was like Velcro and the special test sections were amazing. Fast and technical but nothing to lose your lunch over.

    Thanks again

    A great ride yesterday.
Thanks to all the Sang Froid crew who worked to make this an awesome turn out.

A few pics from me, but with the amount of time I spent crashing my bike, I'm sure others will be posting RF funny pictures of me on my ass! :)

Who's the asshole that thought it'd be funny to have a curry hard-boiled egg challenge as the first stop? It was hilarious. Awesome ride and great spirit! IMG_20171118_105206.jpg IMG_20171118_104249.jpg

Great event as always SFRC. Took some GoPro video, but it will take awhile to edit, in the meantime I have a few pictures from the staging area...

Thanks for the haul out Squishy - Graham beat us to the sunny spot.

All present and accounted for at the end of the day (though a bit more bruised). Lots of fun riding and laughing with you all. Special shout out to Eric, who actually rode his bike OUT there...though I think he "designated drove" somebody else home to earn a warmer ride home...even more awesome - those Jello Shots can get ya!

On a side note I had great ride home after the the Back 40.

It was about 3:30 and the group I was with decided to avoid Hwy 6 and take gravel back along the Trask River even though we knew it'd be in the dark. None of us had done this ride before but felt confident looking at the map.

Our route was Fox Creek Ridge Rd to Clear Creek Ridge Rd, down to N Fork Trask Rd and ending in Yamhill around 6pm after a few map stops and a wrong turn. Dinner was good at a tavern in Yamhill I don't know the name of (log cabin type with dead animals on the walls). Out of 7 of us I think only one other is a member here (KBDubs). If anyone here rode this with me, that was bad ass and nice riding with you.

Left the house at 6:30am and home at 10pm. Doesn't get much better than that.

Trask Mountain Outpost, a great place to eat in Yamhill...or meet up with riders to head to the coast on a cold winter day.

Sorry didn't recognize you there. Wonder how many other ADVRIDERS were there I didn't meet? We need to wear patches or something...then again...maybe, not.

Agreed Albacore. That was a ridiculous day.

Some random quotes from the ride back in no particular order.

"You guys do know we only have an hour of light left, right?"....."I have 4 of those pickled curry eggs in my pocket. I am good for all night"

"I am out of gas." ... " Don't worry, I have a siphon pump" .... "But no one else has gas either"......"Oh"

"My GPS shows that road ends, but hunter guy told us to go that way"......"I trust hunter guy"

Thank you to SFRC and the weather gods for an amazing fall day. Not sure how you guys manage to pull together such great rides attended by some really great people, but keep it up!

Anyone note that Albacore and his KTM Adventure were only 30 seconds slower than the fastest enduro on the timed section. Is it a rental or stolen?

Sorry I missed it this year...but between taking it easy on my still-recovering ankle (from surgery) and my wife wanting to go on a road ride with the Triumph club...riding with her on the road won out.
