Planning on September 19, 2015, anytime after 9am.

Time for the next tech day at my place, south of Denver.

KLR's mostly, but more and more Katooms, Yammys, Suzies, and Bimmers are showing up.

SgtMarty dot com for directions and more details.

If someone has a gallon of Simple Orange hand cleaner they'd like to donate for everyone's use, please do so (and post up here so other generous souls won't duplicate your wonderfulness).

Oh, and I always ask a few people to bring a big bag of ice, so I thought I'd ask here to save time.

We will supply water, coffee, and a few snacks.

    oh man, am IN!

I desperately need to change out front fork oil in my '96 KLR and have never done that before... no idea how much to put back in. Speaking of which, how much oil should I buy and bring with me (or other parts I'm not thinking of)? I bought progressive springs from RaceTech and dropped them in, and I cut down the PVC pipe supplied. Would it be worth it to bring the original metal tubes to be cut to length (I had no way to make a straight cut on them at home) or will the PVC tube continue to work

Also, this would be my first time at a tech day, what can I bring (that will fit on the bike) to help out the cause?

Storm, you can bring the ashes and we can sprinkle them over some wildflowers. :(:

FragAFE, bring a liter of 10w fork oil and we can manage everything else here. I've got a small chop saw that I have used to cut down the steel spacers, if you want. The PVC usually works fine. Anything else you bring and are willing to leave here will get used by someone else at some point. It's Karma points.

Oh, and Storm... did your KLR ever blow up on you? Huh? Did it?

    I thought not.

I plan on coming by. Hopefully I won't get a flat tire on the way there, this time! Maybe I'll even have something to do on the DRZ. It needs a valve check, and possible adjustment, if someone knows how to do that (I sure don't.) I'll bring a shim kit - is there anything else I need for that?

If Fifinella Julie comes, she will help with cooking, but it's not for sure yet. Bring your bike if you want, Tom, since it got missed last time.

I have a Clymer manual for DRZ400, 2000-2006 years. If you ride the bike here, it'll need to cool down for quite a while before checking valves. Chill and have a "soda".

I'd like to check this out. Did you find out what caused the wobble on your bike during the Dino ride?

Marty Blazing spatulas will arrive. Amy is coming with her sword so be ready for the moving cradle jousting. Maybe the KLR will come the new forks are on but the electrics and dash are still proving to be a problem
