Shady, my phone says I'm 127 miles south of you at 3:35pm. See y'all soon.
You guys should start a ride report and merge some of these posts. Just a reminder that these Rally threads are deleted once the event is over.
For the early arrivals. Best jerky ever!!!
Commuter Boy showed up last night, and now we are just getting ready to gear up and head out. See you all in a while.
@Valker you're up early.
That's because I went to sleep so late!
Heading out of Twin Falls in a bit, then up by ski country then into Shady's!
Alright boys and girl (see what I did there Carol?) .............. the White flag has been officially waved!
Not going to be able to make it this time.
Everyone have a blast, don't "Animal House" Shady's place, and I'll see you all at ........................ Shady III!
Steve, good luck surviving this weekend ................. and more good luck with your procedure next week.
Shake it off like the stallion that you are.
Best of wishes for the operation this morning Steve. You'll be going under the knife at 9-ish right?
I'm a Walmart camper, it suits my scatter brained travel plans, not knowing where I'm going or when I'll get there. After leaving Shady's after noon, I headed west to Coeur D Alene Idaho, then south toward Spokane and found a Walmart somewhere in Spokane, about 8pm. Had to run the air conditioner to get the 90* heat out of the camper. Sun's down and cool enough to retire at 9:30 (don't care to look for a campsite in the dark and boondocking is my preference).
At 11pm someone is banging on the door, it's a Walmart employee telling us (6 or so, including semi's) that it's a bad neighborhood so they can't allow overnighting. Fair enough, thank him for the head's up and hit the road. An hour later I found a rest stop and pulled in. This morning there's a semi right next to me with his engine running, which they have every right to do. But I was one step ahead, doG bless earplugs.
So today I'll head south to Reno and then east on Hwy 50, the loneliest road in America.
Last time I was on "The loneliest highway in America", I think the trooper and I were the only ones there.
Hi from Kennewick Washington.
I just made it home, after riding some great roads. Shady, thanks again for putting this on, and heal up quick!
It was great to meet everyone and put faces to screen-names. This was a great group of guys (and TigerLilly), I felt welcome from the moment I got there, and got the chance to sit around the literal campfire with them.
Hiya Dewey Sent from somewhere between Truckee and Reno.
Was a great gathering of unique people and well worth the ride.
Is there a separate thread to follow Shady's recovery??
TL is giving updates in the Geezer thread.
I bribed my way in to get some.
An just who inna fuk is gonna tell YOU no?
I told him to sit his bitch ass down and take what I'm giving him.
