    Hello
I've been looking for a freight company that can ship a 2016 Yamaha Super Tenere to anywhere in South America in December with no luck. All reply "sorry, we don't work with So. America".

    Any suggestions or references?
    Thanks!

I'm flexible. The ideal would be from Atlanta to Rio de Janeiro however, I can drop the bike off on either Savannah or anywhere in Florida. I can also pick the bike up in Cartagena, Lima, or Santiago.

it was a long time ago, but I have twice shipped bikes with Girag Air Cargo. their hub is in Panama City and they fly to Bogota, Quito, Miami and I think Los Angeles. I shipped Panama City to Miami, and Panama City to Bogota, to go to Miami the bike had to be crated, from Panama City to Bogota they just strapped it to an aluminum pallet. I would start with their Miami office and see if they still fly bikes, they used to do it quite regularly.

As I suspect you now know, any US air cargo is not interested in motorcycles due to all the restrictions the FAA has in place. Have you contacted Air Canada? It would require sending the bike to one of their cargo centers in Canada but they happily will air freight to Europe, maybe they will send it to Rio.

I think Lynn Cargo ships RORO out of Houston to ports in Colombia.

Although I haven't heard from him in awhile the inmate GastonUSAChile was in the business of helping riders ship to S. Am. Saludos.

    Hey Desmoman,
We searched hard and sent many emails to different 3rd party cargo companies in FL and TX. We ended up going with Schumacher in Houston, Ron was our representative. It was a cluster the whole way thru, we received them in Cartagenga about a month ago. It was next to impossible for us to find a “recieving agent”, in the end we paid as much to receive the bikes as we did to ship them. We met a hard working family that operated out of Cartagena, said we had ben poorly directed by Schumacher adding much expense to the total cost.
If you are interested in shipping to Cartagena Colombia, i would be happy to share the contact info of the company we found down there. I think it could save one about 500$ and a bunch of wasted energy in doing so.

My wife and I are currently in Bogota and using Cargorider to ship to Miami. I asked Veronica if they shipped the other way (Miami to Bogota) and she said yes, they do.

I can't provide much info as I just started the process myself, but I'm using Laparkan https://www.laparkan.com
Air freight from Paramaribo Suriname to Miami. I can only assume they will ship the other way. I can provide more info as I learn it, if you are interested.
