I will second that... they have been great, whether a simple internet order, or a question on the phone... they take their "customer service" seriously. Well done, indeed!

....and a bag of M&M's with each completed order.... :clap

Yep, just ordered some /6 parts last week. Going to place another order (this time /5 parts) this week.

Gotta love Max. Looking forward to the M&M's too :).

I order from them often, only once having a negative encounter. They had an incorrect quantity listed on their website and when I contacted them about it, instead of admitting there was a problem, one of their parts guys immediately blamed it on me and my lack of understanding. :huh

    No. I was right.

They've since changed that items information and gone above and beyond to resolve any negative feeling I had. Plenty of positive business since then.

While I do try to patronize the little guys, Max is closer/quicker.

    Which matters occasionally.

Like the time I was reconditioning an ATE caliper and the first thing our new puppy "found" on the bench was the seal kit just rec'd from Max...Rusty put another in the mail( shout out to USPS) same day.

Max NH is about 200 miles of White Mountains from here. And about 5 miles from the beach.

I usually pick up my parts in person. :evil

When I needed a front master from my R90/6, Max was out of stock and the part was on back order. Rusty called around and found one at another shop, which was in my hands in two days. They didn't make a penny on that sale, but gained my loyalty from that point on. :thumb

Airhead or oilhead, the parts for me have always been delivered efficiently and most importantly....correctly. Other suppliers will ship the wrong part on a regular basis.. Max has never screwed up my order. Almost everything I have ever ordered for my bike, customer bikes, etc.. have been in stock.:clap

I am glad Max NH is out there. Back in the day, they insisted I ride a new K100RS ABS "...just to see what i thought about it".

It took me 3 tries to try to lock up the brakes on gravel. Subsequently, I bought a K75S ABS years later.

None in the fleet now, just the good memories. I have ordered from them regularly for Das Beast, though I have a local dealer. Why wait when I can get what I wat delivered to the Chateau with M&M's?

German companies learned a serious lesson during WWII. During the war the factories concentrated on building whole vehicle and neglected having spare parts available. Once the allies began bombing and destroying factories seriously spares ran short quickly, which lead to cannibalization of vehicles and planes in order to keep things going. That doesn't sustain you long.

Even though the Americans didn't have the pressures of factories being bombed they had a strict rule of producing spare parts at a 3 to 1 ratio that helped keep things going. Of course there were supply issues that lead to us cannibalizing, but no where near like the axis needed to.

Of topic history rant over. Max is a great resource. How many of us have not used their fiche even when we didn't need a part? I am calling them soon for new throttle cables and some other stuff.

FWIW, working on my first beemer has me strongly considering anything in the automotive BMW line. (I'm sure there may be a lulu model in there, but overall I _want_ to drive one.)
