Stellar idea. I need to whip me up one-o-dees. :thumb

Was needing to change oil before a trip and didn't have a filter wrench so I made this.

    Well, sort of.... :lol3

But my original intention was to use it to center the crosses and zero the shaft runout, kinda like this.

Now, I am just waiting on the new joints and steady rest for my lathe to complete the job. :1drink

Long ago before I decided that an 1150 was not a keeper bike for me I was determined to stop the buffeting and knock the wind noise down. So I ended up with what got nick named the "fairy wings" on the wind screen and a deflector on the mirror stalks. Worked great, maybe a little to good. On days with temps in the 90s or above it was too calm in the cockpit. :knary But with a shift of the deflectors on the mirrors it was possible to regulate a draft. :jkam

After getting the 1200 I was having trouble trying to decide what to do with the silly hole in the rear end. After some thought and :bubba :evil something came to mind...

After seeing what some of the other inmates did, I'm a little hesitant to put up my latest project. But WTF, had a Pelican 1150 kicking around so I made it my first aid kit.[IMG]

here is the tool tube I made back when I had my 1200...

4" Stainless exhaust pipe, 14" long, some stainless angle iron, the clamps from my carbon canister, and a 4" plumbing test cap. Weld, grind, clearcoat, done.
