Yesterday i finaly bought myself a Transalp. I ride motorcycles for 18 years now. And always wanted a Transalp. But for some reason i never bought one. My last motorcycle was a Suzuki GSX750F. Nice bike, but i couldn't ride it longer tthen 30 minutes. My body then starts to hurt. So i looked for an other (comfotabler) and so finaly i bought a 2006 XL650V Transalp.
Here's a picture of the bike during the testride.
Now i just have to wait a few days before i get the bike.
Four models of Transalps on The Head Rd , Border Ranges.
Nice pic there just a pity you didnt have the facelifted 600 to go with the 4
One of my nicer places to stop for a photo

Double Trouble... that's the bikes of course, not me and my old buddy John. Stopped for a coffee break in Foix after a ride out in the Pyrenees.
Great pic, nice to see some faces as well. Stopped in Foix once for fuel before a blat to Puigcerda
And 2 of the best colours also

Hi, Herrstedt, seems like we are riding the same bike.
I’ll upload some pic’s next week.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
Correct me if I’m wrong; is that a touratech adapter to adjust the height and angle of your screen?
I’m looking for something to keep a bit of wind of my helmet while going down the highway.
Since I’m 1m85 my head gets the beating, is ok for a while but for the long rides it not so comfortable.<o></o>
What are your experiences?
I thought about ordering a removable spoiler but I hear pro’s and con’s.<o></o>
Greetings from Belgium!
Dfc what kind of pannier racks do you have? Great pic
Looks like Wolfman Expedition Dry Saddle Bags.
Ya those are wolfman bags but I want to know about the pannier rack. I pmed him he has some home made pannier hoops. Im looking for something to keep soft bags like his in place without the full pannier rack.
I have been dreaming of owning one, since… euh… I could dream.
Well then, here we go, XL700VA made ’10.
Hope you guys like it!
