I've already posted the bike, but figured I'd show off my new rack setup.
That is sweet! Made me walk to the garage and start thinking of how to mount my Thule Criterium.
I wrenched for an MS150 years ago when I was wrenching.
As for # vs $$ I've weighed pretty much the same since 1988 except for the two times I broke my leg-atrophy sheds a lot of weight
I gained weight when I broke my leg. Inactivity does that to ya.
Next time you'll stay active won't you
Despite running*, I gained appx 40# when I jacked up my back. Didya know doing the clean and jerk on an RT is bad for your lower back? Neither did I till the DMV tester lady 'wasn't looking at me' and that's what I did.
I'm back down to within 5-10# of where I was in '05 (165ish) when I officially got my MC license despite dropping my bike during the test. I'd *like* to get back to where I was in college (155#) but I don't see that happening without adding MANY more miles/week.
*make that hashing. Hashing = lots of Stone Pale Ale = lots of empty calories. Add some junk food and presto chango! there's a fat SOB looking back at me from the mirror.
Hey...unless somebody's paying you to run, or you're a medal contender...there is noooo reason to carb load any other way.
Screwing up your back sucks big time. That'll change you from a three-sport racing fiend, to a couch potato in no time.
I'll shut up, you guys will hate me, halfway through my 5th decade I still have a six pack and I truly don't deserve it; I drink an awful lot of beer.
Add 'in moderation' and I agree. Problem with hashing is... there's very little moderation involved!
I'd get off the bike and it'd take me a few min to be able to stand up straight. I figured I'd rather have a back then a season and stopped doing the thing that made my back hurt.
Its taken darn near 2 years to get that weight back off again. I'm not *quite* a food nazi, but I'm close. I've had 3 beers in the last 2 months, etc.
The upside to weighing less is no heartburn, acid reflux, or as much snoring. When I was heavy I had to watch what I ate when or it'd crawl back up my throat when I was sleeping. :eek1 Nasty. Waking up with gastric acid going down your esophagus? Ick.
Oh, I don't have a pic, but I gots me some new handlebars for the Giant. AL Ergonovas. Different shape so I can actually sprint from the drops and not hit my forearms! They don't feel too much different than the carbon S-Works bars that I took off! The innerwebs say I just gained 180g or so, but it don't feel like it. I'm testing these bars in AL to see if I like em before I spend large $ on the carbon version. See? I'm [Forrest Gump] Smart [/FG]
I can't drink alcohol anymore. I'm allergic - I break out in handcuffs.
Woodchippers will fix that.
Not my bike, not my girl... just an awesome image.
I got one of those sitting around. I usually see them on cx bikes. Is it retarded to put it on a road/touring bike?
Hey as long as they fit and work for you who really cares..
One thing I don't like about them is that the "Drop" are to short (the whole point of this bars) so is difficult to reach the brake levers tip (more leverage) when hands are on the drops.
Why is there no bloody like button on this site?
Not at all. Those will be my next bars, which will be mounted on my Tricross, that is used as my road bike.
Cute girls who really ride rock my socks...
Why is she on a full boinger bike on a sidewalk in the middle of some european city?
Photo shoot! Must be! I was thinking the same thing!
