I rode across it on a '75 Yamaha XS650 back in the eighties. Cool experience.
Since I lived in the UP for 5 years back then I also drove across it many times in a car. Snowing with gusty winds was also an experience.
I know that place. Not too far from my home. Was down there messing around about a month ago myself.
Read you and son's thread about that ride. Good stuff!
Cool, where is it, looks like a fun place to take my Tiger.
Me with my Vespa PX and my mate Blane's LML at John Frost Bridge in Arnhem..
("A Bridge Too Far").
Taken last month,en route to the Scooterists Meltdown in Kalkar,Germany.
Quite a poignant moment, riding across the bridge, over the Rhine, and into Germany.
There actually is something to do in Kalkar? I lived there from 1999 - 2002 and I don't remember anything exciting happening in that place.
Oh yes indeed mate.
A nutty guy bought the abandoned nuclear power station and turned it into a theme park !!! :huh
The first weekend in February last year and this year saw it being a scooter themed party weekend with custom show, parts fair and bands plus DJs.
The place is now called Wunderland.
The event is Scooterists Meltdown.
I do remember the power plant...crazy guy indeed

I'm going to double dip, I posted this on the wheelie thread, too!
How could I not recognize Carpenter's Bluff bridge.
I will be back. Never took the time to find an access to the river shore. I need to do that.
you've, obviously, never seen it from that vantage point
here it is from the TEXAS side
note the WAGON SHELF, along side the portion where the RAIL ROAD TRACKS used2waz
here's the HYSTERICAL MARKER with it's story
the bridge is east of DENISON, TX
this old ONE LANE, WOODEN, CABLE SUSPENSION BRIDGE is just north of EUREKA SPRINGS, AR
I know where the bike is sharp and the background panned it does look photoshoped, but I assure you it isn't. Its the perspective, the bridge was much wider than it looks and I wasn't in any danger. I have the RAW file somewhere.....
Hmm, a destination for a spring tune up ride for my trip to AK
Since I have it next to this window
