Midland Valley Railroad bridge, Avant, Oklahoma. Built 1905, abandoned 1968. The ties are in excellent condition. One of the few old railroad bridges here that I've been able to ride across.

Golden Gate Bridge
Here is a bunch of old county road culverts that are normally submerged. The roads were closed/abandoned in the 40's with the construction of Lake Ft. Gibson in northeastern Oklahoma. We were able to ride to them last weekend.

That's pretty interesting. Fun you could at least for a short period of time ride to them was a bonus. WPA projects to boot. This stamp on the bridge cement reminded me I have seen some USR (U.S. Reclamation Service) stamps on irrigation canal works (canals, canal bridges, and canal tunnels), the predecessor to the Bureau of Reclamation (USBR).
