Never did I once think I would have like western Oklahoma, Kansas, and the New Mexico TAT the best out of everywhere else on the ride (went through MD, VA, NC, TN, MS, AR, OK, NM, CO, KS, MO, KY, OH, WV, and back to MD), but there's just something magical about it.

    This thread is just awsome!

Judy and I depart So Cal for Beemer, NE on Oct 4th to visit her sister at the family farm. What a great ride this will be.

North Rim before they close, Lake City, Co to visit my brother. Then off to the grass lands. How I have dreamed.

I tell ya this thread just ignits passion for the jouney.

Thank you so much for all who have contributed.

Buffalo Bill, thank you for starting this very nice thread!

North Dakota has great stories to tell, several of which are featured in the "Great Plains" Book..

The beauty and diversity of the landscape in North Dakota shocked me when I traveled to Tuttle in 2006 for the first time...It was late June, the field work had us in the middle of the largest waterfowl and shorebird production area in the Lower 48 States, "The Prairie Pothole Region"....

I found the lush rolling hills sprinkled with beautiful lakes, to be completely opposite of my perception of the area..I was always impressed by the Peaceful Beauty of the region...

This stretch, the Missouri River Coteau is a fairly large region, and runs along the eastern side of the Missouri River Valley.

Thanks Dusty for posting the North Dakota Stuff, looks like you've got a sweet ride for exploring that country...:clap

We've had a very mild summer out here, as you might already know....Most of August was spent with temps in the 70's.....Early October should be great...Looking forward to some pictures of your trip...

When you get to Beemer, shoot me a pm...If I'm around I'll buzz up for the day...

Glad you're along for the RIDE.........
