Hey all i am about to get going on installing HPM guy triples with wp 50mm extreme forks, and would like the use the scotts damper.

Just wondering if HPM guy damper pins are still available for the scotts assembly. Also for the BRP sub mount I see that i can just order one for KTM 2009-11 and it should fit? I think I have triples from second batch so they have longer bolt at top clamp. I also see that blue locktite is recommended on top and bottom clamp pinch bolts. Anything else that I should know? any definitive torque values?

I think hardwaregrl stated that 25 ft lbs top and 20 ft lbs lower seemed ok.

Right now the bike still has dr650 setup which has been fine but i cant wait to have proper trail again, and adjustable forks

Bearings were tight going on I measured about 28.05 mm at the bearing seat. Hammered them in (stock Bmw bearings right???) they'll be a bitch to come out!

Have a 380sx wheel and axle on the 640 forks, wheel and axle seem correct, just need a spacer for where speedo drive would be. Anyone figure out the proper spacer size? I heard done issues of fork stiction when tightening bolt?

I have the 300mm rotor, still have to mount it

Also for the handlebar risers, what works best with these top clamps?

    Thanks for any help

I ended up making my own pin. An ss 8mm bolt with a long shank with the threads removed worked well.

I caught a lot of air at a trail last weekend. 3-4' over and over again at 20-25. I cracked my sump and crumpled my header coming down on rocks :D.

The fork handles great. The damper makes a huge difference in the rocks. I'm still getting used to using more steering input.

This was coming down off a double at a mx track. It was a bit of a reckless jump but the suspension handled it fine. I didn't feel it bottom and it's definitely the hardest hit I'm likely to take on this bike.

The rear feels stiff on the trails which makes sense. It was sprung to haul two jesses full of gear. I took all the preload out of the shock at the beginning of the day and it still felt like it kicked around too much in the woods.

That sump is awfully close to the ground though! And I don't see much more room for that wheel to go up.

Anyways, I can't see this landing ending well on the stock fork so I'd say the small fortune I threw at this one was worth it.

Noooope. My bike heads to the right if I let go of the bars even if I take the right box off. Frame's probably bent. I've been riding it hard for a long time. I'm not surprised

Ah well. I got hit by a drunk driver on New Year's Day. Totaled my 525. I put $5k from the insurance payout in a savings account. That should cover a hpn frame job and a vacation to Europe next year. I've never left this continent. It's about time!

Whoa. That's totalled, I'd say. Glad you didn't total yourself in that one.

I was fine. Had all the gear on and it did its job. I hit him head on a landed behind his rear bumper. I always wear a camelbak when I ride--I never trusted those thin foam spinal protectors--and I landed right on it. Took the impact like a champ.
