    My 242 is now also ready, very nice bike the last model made just by Montesa that lived on until the nineties as 304, 307 and 310.

    The bike is slighty enhanced at suspension, engine (carb, exhaust, clutch and Kickstarter side),
    a real nice runner got it road registrated too:

    I don't know the 242 came out in 1983 in 1984 Montesa enhanced the engine a bit (MKII) in the middle of 1984 Montesa came out with a new plastic tank and seat combo which was produced in white and red. The last bikes build up to mid 1985 came either in white some in red. In mid 1985 Montesa started with the 304 which was very likely to the 242 but with a disc brake front and a mono rear suspension back.

    How many of these where sold to the US or generally abroad I don't know.
