Definitely, here in the UK not many days go by without a drop of rain
I figured. Have you "tested" the AS crashbars yet, how'd they handle it if so?
Not "tested" as yet, will let you know how they perform if I do.
My wife and I will be test dummy's for some of your routes. We'll be in Flagstaff/Phoenix/Tuscon for xmas then have no plans. I was looking at Duran Canyon Rd and the area. What's the elevation there, just wondering about snow and road closures in Jan/Feb. I'll be riding my Tiger and my wife her Street Triple and we're not sure if we want to drag her DR along with us or not so mostly paved but she's not afraid to ride some dirt roads on her Street Triple. Would love to check out your gps tracks.
Haha I am the same! I am actually debating on riding to Oktoberfest in Tahoe this weekend... Oh the things i could do with a motorcycle...

I'm heading up on Saturday. Where is Octoberfest? I'm going to see the premier of the movie "McConkey" in Squaw Valley on Saturday night. Wish you were still with us Shane…
It's at camp Richardson! A couple other adv guys and myself will be up there this weekend. We plan on going to Oktoberfest Saturday and then salmon festival Sunday.

A few photos from from Algoma region of North Ontario. 3 days 1500 Km 80% dirt
Nice warm day here in OC. We had some pretty strong Santa Anas blowing Friday and Saturday, but thankfully the gusts have abated without any major firestorms erupting. Took the Tiger up Indian Truck Trail all the way up to Santiago Peak. First time I took the bike up this route. Was a little nervous because there's some gnarly sections of this trail, but the Big Cat delivered me to the top without missing a beat
Just below the Santiago Peak high point with Laguna Beach way off in the distance. Nice!
Couple of pictures from my road trip this summer.

Very cool. I would love to ride up there sometime. I have mountain biked a TON all through that area. Do you ride the same trails as mountain bikers or is it off limits to bikes?
I'd love to tag along if you don't mind someone tailin' you! (Once I get my Karoo's mounted).
Finished up the Colors in the Catskills:
This is after riding the GS Challenge route on a tour the following morning after steady rain all night up Hunter Mountain Ski Area. I made it up more than any of the other big bikes on one of our "detours". (lost a blinker trying to come back down...)
Here's my 2012 Tiger 800 XC.
What size is your pelican top case? Where did you buy it? Looks nicely proportioned.
It looks like a Seahorse SE540FP4 to me. I had a couple Seahorse cases for side bags on my SV and liked them.
