I have the factory "tall" screen on my 2009 KLR 650.

Previous to the "tall" I had the standard KLR screen. I swapped that one for the MW Vario screen with the adjustable fin on top. That worked very well, but was a bit short.

I think one of those adjustable fins atop my factory tall would be the ultimate combo for me, at 5-10"

I was ready to drill my factory tall and put the adjustable Vario fin on it but the plexi was a different thickness, and i was not sure the brackets would work (and did not want to ruin my factory tall screen).

The search engine here is not the best, much better to use Google. In the Google bar:

    DR650 windscreen site:advrider.com

Always works well for me. Good luck with the windscreen shopping.

I put this on for a combined SS1000 (1000 miles in 24 hours) and BB1500 (1500 miles in 36 hours):

It worked amazingly well. Probably because my head was so close to it.

    The bike is a 2006 KLX250S with a 351.

Ruffus, that looks oddly familiar. I can't imagine why...

here's mine in bodged on mode...

And clean mode, minus the Aprilia Pegaso Puig screen. The lip is from an Aprilia scooter, I don't know what one.

    Buell screen.
Great thing about the internet is you can be almost anywhere in the world & get what you need by ordering. If you need part #'s, let me know. There's always E_Bay, if not, lot's of Buel dealers who'll ship anywhere in the world. :freaky

    P.S. Where you at?

Here's 2 links that might help, my old one that lost it's pictures & one of the ones that gave me the idea.

Suzuki 2006 DR 200, Wifee wanted more wind protection , chrisbarnes1@yahoo.com makes these carbon fiber screens. So we get one, attach it to the original headlight cowling with 3M super velcro(sp)and tested the screen at almost 70 MPH down off Wolf Creek Pass, all is well:lol3 FYI, No chickens were injured in this record speed run :D

The 3M allows the shield to be adjusted up or down.

I will attach some pics, if you have questions fell free to contact me or even Chris Barnes. Wife has comfort zone across chest area and up to her face shield. She is happy.:D
