No problem on my US chromebook..
Ran fine on my iPad, but I couldn't pause it or expand it. Good one.
Ditto. Played fine on Chromebook. Question about the dead cattle: They do not appear to have been taken down by wolves. Usually the wolves go after the hind legs, hamstringing their prey. On the downed cattle that were not yet munched on, I did not see wounds on legs or elsewhere. Maybe the wounds just didn't show from that angle of the camera?
Anyway, really enjoying this thread!
Vids play fine on my smart tv too. And look great on a big screen.
Most of those cattle looked like they were killed by a lightning strike. Wasn't there a bad storm a day or so before?
If I remember correctly from the original ride report, the belief was that they may have been struck by lightning and then the wolves came along for a free meal. The cows were found close together which would support that a single lightning strike could have killed them all at the same time.
Worked on my iPad tonight. Great videos Walter!
Yes! Now that you mention it, I remember that too. Thanks for the reminder.
I just got caught up on the videos. Great job Walter! I followed along in real time with this ride report here, now it's great to see the videos. Now I must impatiently wait for the next ones to come out!
I think I might have to force my wife to watch these on the TV's YouTube app.
I have an idea for you .....
Sibirsky extreme 2018? I think you need a promotion from Captain Magadan. Admiral Anadyr has a nice ring to it.
Holy crap! I made my wife start watching these last night (doesn't ride, hates camping), and she loved it! I was getting tired and wanted to go to bed, and she talked me into staying up for just one more episode. Well done.
Several years ago I purchased the Sibirsky Extreme DVD and loved it! Now, I've watched these episodes on YouTube over and over on our Roku.
These are fantastic!
What's sad is that none of Rod's photos are happening in this report. But, tis okay. The rest are.
Its taken me a whole week .... video editing is such a ball ache! Episode Thirteen. The team cross back into Russia and experience the first wet riding days of the trip. The Altai is notorious for great scenery and rainy summers. It was a dramatic contrast to the fast speeds and sunny days of Kazakhstan ... suddenly we are slipping all over the track in slimy wet clay, being rained on and doing half the pace. Rod's problems with his bike require drastic measures to save the remainder of his trip.
Expect device limitations re playback!
Walter, this is so inspiring great work. I believe I can now tell the location from the photos after all the reading and watching, and even started to learn Russian just because of this! Spasibo! And also thanks for patiently outlining the necessity of travelling lite and the build thread, very helpful indeed!
Who is Captain Magadan?
@Colebatch is. he has the patches to prove it!
loved the write up and now the videos. whats the reason for the fascination with russia?
Apologises in advance for keeping repeating myself but fantastic!!, thanks again for the time and effort in making and uploading these videos.
Spent a rainy Sunday re-watching them all. Great videos
