We are hosting a sidecar gathering/rally on the shores of Caddo Lake in Uncertain, Texas with the official dates of October 15-17, but I plan to be there by lunchtime on Thursday, Oct. 14.
An uncertain schedule and lodging details can be found here:
There are a couple of opportunities for off-pavement riding in the area, including an oil company road used by duck hunters to access the heart of the swampy area of Caddo Lake, and the Stagecoach Road about 12 miles away, which is four miles of "original" one-lane sunken roadway and the most haunted road in Texas according to<!-- m --> http://www.hauntedamericatours.com/ghos ... chRoad.php<!-- m -->
Here's some pics from last year's "flood rally" - http://www.sidecar.com/mbbs22/photos/photo-thumbnails.asp?albumid=439&Page=1&sortdir=desc

Whilst the sidecar racing scene is an acquired taste, even for many sidecar enthusiasts, it can have appeal.
This weekend, October 30th and 31st, the Mallory Park race circuit in England, hosts an International Sidecar Festival.
All the racing features three wheelers, yes including the odd classic Morgan, and basically all generations of sidecar track competition. Classic old timers through to the contemporary championship missiles will entertain, as ever for not much publicity, or massive prize money.
As the meeting features the final round of a season long championship, there will be TV cameras around to record the action.
Hi guys, just to let you all know of a Sidecar cross Spectacular that will be held in Queensland the week-end after Easter, 2011.
Expect 50 sidecar crossers on all moto-x outfits from pee-wee to modern but also including pre'68, pre'75 and pre'85 Wasps and EMLs with Nortons, XS Yamahas and a few others
We are also want to include a full range of static displays of all other sidecars including roadrace, speedway, dirttrack, trials and road goers who will be welcome to camp and party. Contact if you have something to show us.
So pencil in the weekend to come and join the fun, watch the racing and enjoy the fun that is sidecars.

Is there going to be a 2nd annual Manchester Beach Rally? I sure enjoyed the first one.
Ural riders will be gathering on Marrowstone Island in Puget Sound in late June for a weekend at the beach. Marrowstone Island is by Port Townsend on the Olympic Peninsula. There are plenty of great Ural roads around including a lot of Forest Service roads. Marrowstone Island, while an island, connects by bridge to the mainland. The weekend is a low key blend of Russian machines, good companionship, and great food.
This is an annual event with Urals returning to a collection of beach cottages, the "Ecologic Place," on the south end of the Island, right on the water. There is a main lodge that we've rented for the group to use. There is seafood feast on Saturday night. Friday night, we head to the Ajax Cafe in nearby Port Hadlock.
In the past we have had as many as 25 rigs there. No need to have a Ural or even a sidecar to come. It's a great place for kids, with a great low tide beach. (Late June has some of the lowest tides of the year.)
Space is limited. We have arranged with the owners of the Beach Cottages, Steve and Allison Willing, for use of the entire place: all the cabins plus the Lodge. There are beds for 29+ people. Cots for sleeping bags are possible. Limited tent camping might be allowed, as this is outside the normal operations of The Ecologic Place.
Contact Please call Steve or Allison at 800-871-3077 to make your arrangements for accommodations. Their website is below.

Saw where Red posted this elsewheres... but taking an opportunity to tag on Doug's event to add there's a state park nearby on Marrowstone too... loves me some free camping.

Folks have requested we re-do the Manchester Rally (Manchester, California. KOA..Google it)....so we shall. ,
Previous dates were the 3rd weekend in September which I'm all for...those dates would be Friday/Sat/Sunday the 23rd, 24th and 25th. Other option is the 2nd weekend...Sept 9th, 10th and 11th (Friday/Sat/Sunday). If there are any strong preferences let me know ASAP, otherwise I will make an executive decision for the 3rd weekend.
No matter what, this is the PRIMO time on the California coast. Warm(ish....) non-foggy days, cool nights!!
LOTS of great local rides (Ft Bragg, Pt Arena Lighthouse, Mendocino, etc, etc.)
Again, we will try to occupy the tent area (9$-night) and the cabins in "the loop". I am not going to be the mother hen here.
You will be required to make you own reservations, and (if it goes like last year... ) there will be lots of people told it'll be $35/night for a tent site. It won't be. Relax. Mmm-kay?
Don't want to be making 73 calls to Machester this time. It'll all work out.
We will again supply beans, brats and applesauce for Friday for those interested. :dg
(I will not be responsible for gas produced.... )
"Nuff said. Let me know on the preferred dates or I will make my own decision.
PS- Will supply the dates/phone # AFTER I get a consensus on preferred dates. ALL bikes welcome!!!!!!
The annual CURD rally will be held in Bobcaygeon, ON Canada. Check out the link below:
