I think it qualifies - here in the UK Morgan three-wheelers were allowed to compete in sidecar racing events to great effect, then there was Owen Greenwood's mini based three-wheeler that conquered all! Will try and find some more info & pics :D

Is that one of those 3-wheeled cars like Velorex used to make?

The three wheeler is one of the dreaded Morgans. I say dreaded because they still haunt the sidecar guys at classic motorcycle race meetings around the UK.

The image shown is at Lincolnshire's Cadwell Park circuit. Old school, but certainly guaranteed good racing. A well loved track on the east side of England.

Ah yes - but it qualified as a three wheeler due to close coupled rear pair, racers always like to exploit the loopholes in the rules......:evil George Brough did the same with his sidecar outfit, powered by an Austin Seven 750cc watercooled four with twin drive wheels... will also try and find that one.....

ok here it is...shaft drive as well
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brough_Superior_Austin_Four - good for wikipedia!

A guy near me posts up an ad for his rig over on the USCA forum. I go see it. I drive it. I like it a lot but . . . I get cold feet and don't make an offer. Nice guy, though, so I post up a reply to his ad saying how much I liked the rig.

Couple weeks later I get an e-mail from some guy in Alaska thanking me for my "review". He has bought the rig over the phone, sight unseen, based on my comments. :eek1

He retains the services of Jay from DMC to go fetch the rig, crate it, and deliver it to a freight forwarder in Seattle. Gets shipped to Anchorage where the new owner shows up with his trailer to pick it up. Pic of crate being loaded on trailer--

He gets it home and uncrates it -- finally, for the 1st time, getting to see what he's bought.

Now he's gotta figure out how to get the rig off the trailer and into his heated garage (this was last February--and we're talking Alaska here). No problem--just build a ramp.

Anyways, the reason I'm telling the story, is the guy just sent me this pic of Denali taken from Talkeetna--about 100 miles north of Anchorage. I liked the pic, so here it is--

Ya know, I still like this rig. Wonder if I made a mistake by taking a pass . . . :hmmmmm

Don't let Wumpa hear you talking like that!

I'm not sure if I could fly that chair the first time I got on it.

Wumpa's place in my heart is safe. I was thinking that Wumpa needed a "street" stablemate. In fact, still thinking about getting a street rig.
