what are your thoughts about it pulling a sidecar? I am imagining it may be equivalent to a Dneiper/cossak etc .... I am not really interested in it being "fast" but rather that it be capable of pulling it at a steady pace (60mph/100kmh). I have a CSM-1A adventure style sidecar, which probably weighs about 300lbs. Of course it will use extra fuel, but I am wondering it will be so bad seeing that riding it solo gives such a great economy already. :ear

Brit, I've wondered the same thing about the NC700's after eyeballing one at the local Honda shop -- especially with the dual-clutch auto-shift option preferred by Mrs. Swampfox.

I took Maddie for ride yesterday after sync-ing the throttle bodies on the R1100GS with using a 5mm-3/16th" clear-tube auto-tranny fluid manometer. The bike pulls strong & even under throttle, but still surges way too much (maybe better described as "erratic") on trailing throttle & at idle - and the exhaust fumes emitted from the Staintune stinks. I need to get this sorted out before making any out-of-town trips.

I have two NCs. One of each. Change the gearing 15 to 20%. Light weight, aero side car. I think the nc or ctx would make a fine hack. I would use the duel clutch model.

Hey all, I just wanted to share the cafe sidecar project that I had been having worked on for OVER A YEAR.:norton ( I'm still pissed about that:deal) Anyway here is a quick shot, I have been riding her to get all of the kinks out of the rebuild. More pics to come, If anyone knows how to invite everyone to see the pics of the build on photobucket please let me know and I will share with you guys.:eek1

I took the sidecar off, because the mechanic cracked the windshield and has to replace it. So I am enjoying solo riding for now. Plus steering with the sidecar is is very difficult. I will have to figure all that out in time. For now I just want to ride!:D

    BMW with Expedition sidecar,
Just got it home Monday.....big learning curve ahead. It’s so much more of everything compared to the Gear-up Ural. Now it’s practice, practice, practice and remembering I don’t have Reverse.
