Its only slow 'cause you're hoggin all my bandwidth!
The servers show full speed and we're doing normal traffic levels on both sites, so it's likely latency in the network between your machine adn our servers.
You can check it really quickly by opening up a dos command prompt window (in accessories, just like notepad and calculator),
and typing at the prompt:
You seem to have a lot of IPs you've used, but the most recent seems to be 220.127.116.11 (0011196.lodgenet.net). I did a traceroute from my desktop to that one and it was 14 hops and several of them had 80-240 ms latency.
You can also try ping in addition to traceroute. My ping times to smugmug are 17 ms.
Does anybody know if Babel Fish will translate that..........
Hmmm... is DNS off, again?
www.advrider.com = 18.104.22.168
Pings, and traceroutes are showing acceptable. But I too have been having slow image load times.
its ok for me
Looks like my last liver enzymes result...........
--- smugmug.com ping statistics ---
7 packets transmitted, 7 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/mdev = 18.371/20.992/27.570/2.919 ms
--- 22.214.171.124 ping statistics ---
10 packets transmitted, 10 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/mdev = 103.077/135.038/220.508/35.419 ms
judging by that variablility, I'd say the problem is at the users end.
My pings must be a little slow coming from the South? What does it all mean? Traceroute numbers seem inline.
I even lost a packet somewhere, if you find it can you please return it?
Traceroute gave me
23.908 ms 7.553 ms 2.224 ms
30 hops max, 40 byte packets
Are you on a modem?
17ms here. crash's times are slow because of the aluminum foil.
FYI guys, there is a new worm about. Infects via web pages and screws with DNS
I was getting 500ms+ a few mins ago.
Hurricane Electric Hostmaster is KILLING me tonight!!!
IP Address: 126.96.36.199
Is a fcking PIG! And is pissing me off.
found a nice old thread with the same question I have...
several of us have noticed slow page loading and site response the last 24 hours....
is something afoot behind the curtain?
your really don't know ?
I know lots of things.
I know not of even more.
your point, guess, suggestion?
I experienced it a little yesterday morning around 7:30 eastern time, and sporadically since then.
