Ok, it's way past time for me to pop up a thread, no-one to blame but me; it's been a busy winter.

Apparently some people are so we (I mean 'I') have decided on the last weekend of August for this year's Soiree; that being the 23rd to the 25th.

We are still working on moving the event to Port Rexton this year too, Sean has been discovering plenty of dirt for your riding enjoyment which led to finally getting out.

Sean and I rode around yesterday and there are tons of dirt roads etc in the area to ride. The coastal loops here are absolutely stunning for scenery and twisties for anyone who has no interest in dirt.

And my girlfriend has kindly offered up the Parish Hall that she owns for us to use, it's a beautiful space; looking like a perfect spot for and adv rally.

Sorry I completely spaced on getting a thread up sooner for all of you who need to book vacation time, my guess it will be a smaller event than past years but fun all the same.

PM me your username, real name and t-shirt size so I have you on the list for shirts and attending. The shirts will be prepaid when I have a price.

This is the view from in front of her Parish Hall last week–I shit you not:D

I'd really to make that trek! How do I get there? Does it involve a long boat ride?

First step is a passport, I guess. :deal

You'll definitely meed your passport. As for boat ride there are 2 options: one is six hours with about 9 hours to the rally and the other option is 14-16 hours with a 2 hour ride to Port Rexton. Go poke around on ridetherock.com for more info.

Wish we could make it again this year, Mike, but alas, plans (and time constraints) have us heading a different direction. We'll miss our NFL friends!

To answer the boat ride question...'both' isn't a bad option. One on, one off.:deal

Ok folk, sorry to disappoint but I'm pulling the plug on the Skibum Soiree 2013. I was having a few issues finding a couple of resources I needed and now my work is also proving to be difficult. I hope this hasn't totally ruined anyone's summer plans. I will revisit 2014 at a later date.
