Shouldn't you get a little of the white stuff on the back side of this current weather system?

We have had a few decent storms already and snowmaking guns have been running for a week. I for one am not ready for it yet, would rather have a bit more local riding time, but at least moab ain't far for my fix!

I'm sending job apps to almost every resort in the state. Someone has to flip burgers at the 10,000ft lunch spots.

Winter is about 6 weeks late. I'm ready already.

we're looking at a possibility over the next couple days, but will probably just end up with rain/snow mix. Temps have been pretty mild midday. Hopefully we can get at least some dustings of snow to move in for Nov. 15 rifle opener.

You're going to commute from the Springs? I've considered this, but can't make it pay with the commute (and childcare) added in.

The ground is nowhere near cold enough here to maintain snow. There is about 4" on the ground right now that will be gone soon.

    but it is a start.

The woman is nagging at me to order her some skis. I'm holding off until we get settled in to our new place. I don't see the hurry anyways given that the snow is still some ways off for us.

We're probably going to visit da UP again this February, to coincide with the MTU Winter Carnival.

Cool! That weekend is also telefest as well: http://www.downwindsports.com/telefest.html

The Porcupine Mountains are still my favorite skiing in the midwest. Telefest just makes it that much more awesome.

5 days of skiing in a row as of tonight. Would've been 7 if it wasn't for a day off after the chiropractor straightened me out.

Mostly skate, but it's been surprisingly good for early season skiing.

Took a few pics while out cruising the backcountry on Saturday.

Man, for a bunch of dare devil motorcycle riders you'd think there'd be more people into the adrenaline rush of downhill skiing!:D

I went out and got my first real pow day in 2 years at Steamboat on Friday.

Been a great skiing season so far. My daughter really found her skiing legs this year. Two silvers and a bronze in the local games. :clap

Got a silver in her first attempt at Super G :clap

Upgraded to new downhill race skis this weekend .... my wallet hurts :cry
