From the planning committee, I'd like to extend a "thank you" to all inmates, families, and sponsors that were involved in making it such a success.

Went down Friday. Saw Celtazon, High5, Toyman and JaiDee. Left and went to Redding and saw DRZCharlie, Valentino Magoo, Ark Wizzy and Gus. [but Gus didn't see me.] With that crew Redding should be named Hot Springs Village. 9 PM curfew and bingo on Tuesdays.

You don't want pics... trust me.

Sure glad I went to SLAP this year…..had a blast! Great location with terrific facilities, in a beautiful place right on the Mulberry river. You could even get a fresh hand-dipped ice cream cone at the store inside the main office. :eek1 Sweeeeeet. I got two, actually.

Nice showers, great friends, GREAT FOOD! The folks that coordinated all really went over the top. Standing ovation: :clap The fish fry, the breakfast, and the BBQ were outstanding....each one. All cooked up by the Byrd's staff on site.

I arrived about Noon Friday, and got to hit all the singletrack with Krabill and Justin Weiss. Not a lot of it on the private property, but it was good stuff.

Spent all day Saturday riding with Rufus, Fotobo, Darel, Wayne & Don Shackleford (brothers), and Billy. Best lunch in town:

None of us were even hungry after the big SLAP breakfast. But, we just couldn't turn down a chance for an Oark Cafe Hamburger....cause it had an official Darel seal of approval:

Don't be fooled, this old rascal ain't ready for the rocking chair. He's one of the fastest riders in the woods....EVER. We need to handicap his bike with lots of weight, like they did Sea Biscuit.

Think we covered about 85 mles of trail. Darel sniffed out some butt-kicking trail, as usual. And, he gave his brand spanking new Sherco X-ride a right proper hillbilly break-in. Spared it no mercy. He even found us a nice waterfall to cool off in:

No one was in a hurry to leave this spot.

That's all the photos I took. Was just too busy having fun riding my Husaberg FE390!

    HF :thumbup

p.s. Great seeing Throttlemeister, Joe Nuclear, Newner, Magoo, all the J-D's (in every variety), and all other inmates. How about Joe Boggs…..all the way from New Zealand! Ho-chi-momma!! He's been traveling the world for a year on his DR. Very cool dude. Did somebody give him an award for farthest traveled to attend SLAP? :D

Crashit went down as well and was having problems with his left hand. I believe he had someone from Little Rock come and retrieve him as he wasn't able to operate the clutch on his Versys.

No my group had two riders go down. The guy who broke his leg had surgery today to put pins in. I went down at the very end.

Torn muscle/ligaments in hand (which would explain why I had no strength) and hyper extended my shoulder 6-8 week recover....good pain meds to go with my bottle of crown.:rofl

Dude, you've got some good pics there. Spend some time and embed them here with the tales of your experience and pre-ride. Looks like you took a ferry on the way and saw some neat country. :lurk
