    Hi
does anyone know the windshield that 808airhead has posted on
    http://vintagebmw.org/v7/node/5976?page=1
I have never seen it before but I would like it for my almost new restored black beauty.

    Thanks

    Thomas

I am on the hunt for a barn find . Been riding around the SW of Western Australia the past couple of months , and if any elderly person shows any interest in my bike I strike a conversation. Twice in the past couple of weeks I have a almost similar situation in different towns . " My brother had one of those BMW bikes .. we had it parked in our shed for the past 20 years under a tarp. We only got rid of it last year "

    I know I am close .. I can almost smell it ...

The Works shock was rebuilt with a new shaft.
The new shaft "flat spot" was no longer 9mm but 10....
The new 10mm x 1.50 thread did not fit the old shock top receiver.

I had to run the threads of the new shock top, and the threads of the old receiver and finally they were happy...

So I popped the starboard fore shock and replaced the shattered Boge with the rebuilt Works...

    The Boge shafts measured 11mm...
The shafts on the Works are 12.75mm

    The refits went well....

My carbs have risen to the top of the bench...
They were received Feb 17 and I should hear within a week what the "Carb Doc" thinks!
