Dave, Marco, Adam. - the A ride kicked butt. Not only was this the most challenging big bike ride I've been on, but the leadership you provided to even the least skilled riders was awesome! It's like you invited 50 best friends over to share your favorite trails. I want early sign up for next year! Thanks for doing this!

I think it's a great idea to limit the amount for each ride, but I think people might feel left out or pushed into riding a route they otherwise wouldn't just so they can be there. Definitely worth considering though.

That's my point, I'm all in favor of riding fast and going hardcore, but that's what races are for and for those of us that don;t race or want to show up to an event alone, this format works well.

You did awesome man, loved seeing you put that bike to the test, and I among others, were really impressed at how well the bike stood up to the beating!

It's so cool watching you progress man, you went from a newbie to off-road last year to absolutely crushing it on that big bike this year, and the best part was that you had the exact same wide-eyed, big smile during and after the ride that you did last year, haha! That's how you know you're having fun.
And one thing I learned from @dgrs2 years ago when I first rode with him is that he always makes everyone feel like you've known him for years, always welcoming and always inclusive. I'm just learning from the Evil Master and hoping to help keep passing it on. You know we're family when we rip at 70+mph and aim for every single puddle in the haul road to coat each other with muddy water.

Hats off to you guys that can ride the big bikes like a 2 stroke, I'll be ditching my DR for an AT this year for sure.

I was little nervous going in since I just started riding off-road last year (at the '16 Smokin' Hole with a CB500XA), and I hadn't ridden much this year at all. I had a blast on the WR250R on loop A. Unsure of how I would have done on C ... probably many curse words.

As a first timer I have to say I enjoyed it very much. These guys have a way of making you feel very welcome and everyone was more than willing to offer advice as well as a helping hand. My hat is off to all you guys who put this together. It is a lot of work but seems to go off very smoothly.

So all you FF from the C Loop who had a good time on Saturday should have just followed me another 15~20 miles west to Frackville and jumped into the Oxbow Hare Scramble on Sunday!

Dave, you do realize there are easier routes to take to get that BMW to Starbucks, right?

I'd like to take a moment and thank everyone for a great event. It was our first Smoking Hole Rally. I would like to personally thank Dan and Mica for making me feel welcome Friday night around the camp fire. Then I would like to personally thank Dave, Marco and Adam for welcoming my wife and I on the A loop. Even though we were noobs on little bikes we definitely felt accepted. We had such a great time. We're already talking about next year! Thanks again.

Next year I want to do both loops. When I fly back to the Lehigh Valley tomorrow I'm going to look at an adventure bike.
