PLEASE ONLY POST DATES, TIME AND LOCATION ETC FOR A RIDE YOU ARE ORGANISING ON THIS THREAD Snail Trail rides were originally for beginner riders, we'll still do these but so many riders are now experienced that we'll also post intermediate level rides too - just check the posted rides to see what level each one will be. This thread is only to post announcements of a new ride here. There will be a link to another thread for the planned ride, any questions or discussion can be posted there. Thanks, just keeps it less cluttered and easier to follow new rides. Got a general question? Want to introduce yourself? Try this thread: Snail Trail rides. Or just read more about Snail Trails on the website here. Remember Snail Trail rides are informal social rides; you come along at your own risk and there is no central organiser or person taking responsibility. You must read and agree to the disclaimer here before coming on any ride. WANT AN AUTOMATIC EMAIL SENT TO YOU WHEN A RIDE IS ANNOUNCED? Click on "thread tools" in the sub menu at the top of the thread. Click on " subscribe to this thread". Choose "instant notification by email" then "add subscription". Then you'll get an email the moment a ride gets posted here. LIKE TO ORGANISE A RIDE? HERE'S HOW Start a new thread in the Australian section of the forum here. 1 Just click on the "new thread" button at the top left and put something like "Snail Trail ride, Sat 12th March 2013, Mt Mee State Forest, Qld". 2 Cut and paste the text for one of the rides below and change it to suit your ride. 3 Then just post a condensed version of the same info on this thread, and provide a link to the main thread for the ride. If it all sounds a bit tricky, just look for anyone who posted a ride before and get them to arrange it for you. WANT TO SEE VIDEOS OF THESE RIDES, OR GET THE GPS FILES FOR THE ROUTES? Go to this thread for vids of most of the adventure rides below in southeast Queensland and northern NSW. We post a lot of the routes for these rides on Trans Australia Tracks as gpx files. Note they often have some gnarly bits in them so read the details carefully. Some routes have alternative easy detours for inexperienced riders or if riding one of the big motherships.
