    My two bob's worth...

DRZ will be better on tech hills than a DR, but somewhere in between a DR and an enduro weapon like a KTM or HUSA.

Although in my experience, what matters more is rider skill.:pynd

I've seen guys on DR's and even Transalps (mentioning no names) who have waxed the arse of guys on light 2 stroke enduro bikes! :eek1

Guess it just depends how hard you are willing to work to get up the hill.
Me? I'm a lazy bastard, so I went with the weapon. As most of my riding is on tech hills and tight stuff.
But geez, I miss the DRZ any time I have to do more than 60 klms in a day :lol3

Strummer, you may come across up to 50 riders from another ride in Mt Mee at identical times as your ride, I predict they should be at Dayboro around 8:45 am to go up into Mt Mee.

Can't see it being much fun for two large groups being in there at the one time, especially if there is dust around as well. Just each individual group in there would be pushing it with those numbers, let alone two.

They are also heading into Woodford from Mt Mee so it could be extremely busy all round.

    FYI.

    Thanks Cruz..

I've had a chat with the leader of the Team Moto ride.
We head in the opposite direction to them - into Glasshouse from Woodford - and it looks like the only place we cross paths will be as we ride past them while they exercise their elbows at the Woodford pub! :lol3

So I want everyone on our ride to beep the horn as we ride past, and give the Team H boys the official ADV salute! :fyyff

    Just for a laugh :rofl

We can safely do that, because we outnumber them by about 12 riders, and besides, we'll have Sandy Lane in our group, and NOBODY messes with her :D

Really looking forward to seeing all you guys up there on Sunday.

An update to my accident and injuries.

I was admitted to hospital on Wednesday night as I had severe pain in my calf muscle and side of ankle. Turns out I developed two blood clots in my leg. I stayed in hospital over night and got home late yesterday afternoon.

I'm now on two injections a day to thin my blood and warferin tablets for 3 months. I've also got to go and get a new cast put on Monday.

I'm really missing my bike and my mobility (I know James, I'm a sook). I really want to get stuck into cleaning my bike from the accident but it's a little difficult with the cast and crutches.

I'm bitterly disappointed that I'll be missing this ride with you all, I'm hoping by just being there in the morning I'll get a bit of a fix and get to say hello to a few people.

See you all there on Sunday

    Wasca (Mark)

Woohoooooooo! Will be great to see the Swedish rocket in action again!

Wasca, sorry to hear that mate, but there will always be the next ride.

If you are desperate to get the bike clean, let me know, and I'll send Mickd over. After all, he did promise to help out with anything I needed on Sunday :thumb

Don't forget, you could always meet us at Matthew Flinders Rest area as well as Woodford.... Just a thought.

Hey Wasca, don't feel so bad as I will attempt to drop it in a creek crossing just for you:clap Still remember the look on your face after the last crossing on El Ponkins ride when he said there may be some harder ones yet, just after we emptied a couple of ltrs out of our boots:lol3. And if we come across any of those other group can we rumble:evil
    Regards Eric

Ahhhh.... I forgot to mention the number one rule of Snail Trails rides:

If you are gonna drop it, you need to alert the ride leader, so he can get the video camera ready.... Fair's fair after all!!

And as for rumbling... hell yes! Bring it on!! (I reckon we can win... easy). :evil

Lol Eric, that brings back some fond memories, not! :lol3

I actually faced that crossing again in January when I did a trip RideWithMe up to Gympie and back. When faced with the crossing I just stopped and said no way. He went straight across and came back. Braver man than me.

Harley riders, are those the one's that put a hanky over their face when they ride, don't worry about them as they will be too busy watching bumblebee take a slash:eek1

    Strummer,

When Team H have had the big numbers on rides they split them up into groups with their own leads and sweeps and stagger the departure by ten minutes to keep the dust down, just an idea but could do three groups.
    1. Arseclowns and arseclown siblings first :evil
    2. Then Yamahahahas :huh
    3. Then DRs plus the also rans, Kawas Huskys blah blah :lol3
