TEAM KTM got together yesterday for a little 2 trk puttin.

We staged out of my house in Pollock Pines, and we headed East towards Silver Fork rd.

We knew that there would be blow downs, but we were still shocked at the number. The upside is that we had a bit of fun re-routing around them.

Went to 1 of our favorite single track trails. Bent over bushes and multiple blow downs demanded that we turn around. I'll have to head out with the chain saw and clippers for a labor of love session.

We made it up until at about 5k' elevation, we hit snow patches too long and deep to motor through.

It's gonna be awhile before we can make it up into the high country.

    1) Where in TF is HWY 50? We have no idea.
    2) Any more pic's? Looks a bit interesting.

Hwy 50 runs west - east from Sacramento to Tahoe and beyond. It used to be the main hwy East until they made Hwy 80.

Just watched the weather. They are calling for SNOW SHOWERS DOWN TO 4000' ON SUNDAY.

Dang weather. At this point, we won't be in the high country 'till the end of July! :huh

And, Hwy 50 is currently closed between Tahoe and Placerville for two weeks due to construction. Just at the summit but.......

    For those who haven't heard.

Which makes the high snow levels even worse than usual. Here we have a whole freeway closed of normal traffic that we could be"playing" on if it weren't for that dang white shite!

Morman Immigrant is still closed too. I went out there yesterday, and could only get 15 miles up from Jenkinson Resv.

And for those of you who are curius, North South Rd is still buried too. I could only get in 6 miles from the Morman side.

Good to hear from up the mountains there, I am down by the ocean central coast, and seems that we are having a very late winter and the snow are going to hang around for a while.
I am going on a 5 day ride with my two brothers to the eastern Sierras on early July and I hope that the roads are clears by then.

Well, we got another 12"-14" on Sunday. And another storm is coming in tonight. I guesstimate that we'll get at least 12" - 18" from it.

    WILL WINTER EVER END!!??
