Great getting to yuk it up with you and Mark. Skip enjoyed showing off his Pentons to someone who remembered them intimately from days gone by.

I am sure y'all will have some awesome adventures along your journey. The Cat wants to see the Salt Flats so I hope you take her down that a way.

I found this thread last night and after reading I went back to your first post and clicked on Erica's link. I am on page 15 of 109. I wonder if I'll get the oil changed in my KTM today.

Back at you! You two are great :clap For everything the shop, tools, help, tips and Spirits and dinner. I thoroughly enjoy the evening bantering, yuking and in general being happy I could accommodate.:rofl Yes, Skip has an awesome collection of Penton's probably the most I've seen in one location since new in a showroom... :huh I remember that.

It sure felt good having a decent tire on the front now, no more bucking down the highway.

So, you started reading Erica's ride... you so not going to get anything done today.

Yesterday, was a rest up day and then a afternoon invitation From yzfcathy and her side kick Skip to offer up the use of tools, and a shade tree to service our bikes. I changed my front tire and Skip showed me another way to remount the tire on the rim, hum, old dogs can learn a new trick. Thanks Skip!! Then it was on to Air filter change and since I was undressing Moya I got a oil change in. Lesson learned, trying to remount a 990 tank full of gas PITA on that bottom bolt:norton

BTW Skip has an AWESOME collection of restored Penton's in the house. I'll see if I can get Radioman to post up some shots.

That evening around the dinner table the talk turned to the Ride both Marks and mine and well one thing lead to another, where I mentioned how I'd love to see the Salt Flats of Bolivia where upon our host mentioned she knew someone wanting to go there too, so now I have a companion, so we assured her "Hello Kitty" will make it to the Salt Flats.:deal

Today we are finalizing the jaunt to the border. Radioman has to get his bike into the shop in the morning for one more service so we'll head for Douglas tomorrow afternoon and stay there the night crossing Wednesday morning'

Today we took the bikes out for a little shake down and to scrub the new front
    and a once over.

Sam and I had a great afternoon yesterday getting bike maintenance done, and enjoying the Hospitality of Cathy and Skip.

Skip jumping right in to show Sam a different technique on changing a tire.

Then Skip and Cathy jumping in to help Sam look for dropped parts and dropped tools:deal :lol3

    Finishing up the oil change.

and then our hosts made sure Sam had a cold Adult beverage.

    [IMG][/IMG]

Skip has an Amazing collection of Penton Motorcycles (pre KTM) as his neighbor growing up was John Penton. Sam was all over it, as he raced in that era and it was really cool to watch him light up!

Good job guys. Notice how taking time to smell the flowers has brought a smile to Sam's face :deal What I want to know now is where you guys found the fountain of youth? Some where between leaving the PNW and getting to where you are now Sam lost 10+ years off his face. Whatever you guys are doing keep it up, it's agreeing with you. :clap

Hola, everyone. Well today is load and head for the border. Anyway Last night at dinner I had mentioned to Radioman about a movies I had watch sometime back that kept me chuckling, as I remember that was the way we rolled in the 70's not to mention AGATT I remember some great philosophical passages narrated but not in proper context, Needless to say, Netflix had the movie for streaming so Mark and I chuckled all through this movie about three amigos heading South of the Border in 1971. So, instead of trying to paraphrase I found this snippet listen to the wisdom form the orator.
