I see that Mozilla is releasing a new version of the browser, FireFox Quantum. Has anyone been testing it, or already migrated? I have a browser open most of the time on these computers (email, ADV, news, sheep videos), and am happy with the interface tweaks I've made, bookmarks sync'd across devices, password management, ads blocked and scripts stopped, etc. I loathe having everything wiped away...

Thus my question: Is it safe?

    Nothing is safe.

This is also just out of beta with a vastly modified back end so while security might not be an issue VS other browsers stability could be.

So far so good, however it looks like chrome, very fast. Need to get it dialed in .....again <sigh>

Interesting. The new Firefox seems quite fast. While reading up, I ran into this site, seems well thought out..

Our broadband is occasionally sketchy. Just loaded FF57 and in the 5 mins I have been using it, seems much faster - perhaps the slowest software I regularly use is googlemaps and it now whizzes. No waiting while a new frame loads.
I was unsure it would keep much of what I have as a set up - it has. The redundant add ons are not really missed, most were legacy anyway.
If they can keep it like as it is now, then it is great, and recommendation.

    Thanks for the feedback.

You should come down to the basement once in a while... :evil

And you should really ditch tapatalk... the site works so well on a mobile platform now that it's running xenforo.
